    Breakers Revenge Chicago

Okay - so different modes of play. Kind of like "isims" The Chicago ism allows short hops, like many other SNK fighters. The game was already ultra aggressive, but this looks really cool!

    Breakers Revenge Chicago

Any way to get more people to play this game the better. It's one of Visco's most solid releases - if not their best. Glad it's getting some additional love. Much fun. Seems to be an additional meter/mechanic tied to the "Chicago/Revenge" theme - there's a moniker and meter below the life bar...

    YouTube....w...t...f videos

HAHAHA this comment... I don't think there's a better description. Those controllers are sick, though. I had the Ryu pad as well. They were excellent.

    Gameboy or GBC "hidden gems"?

Dude, Supersonic is still one I go back to these days. It's a wonderful "upgrade" of sorts to Legends on Saturn/PS1. Extreme Butoden on 3DS by Arc is also quite good. Never did give Supersonic 2 on the DS a shot. Any good?

WTB: Big Tyme Mega Drive Games (Battle manias, Tom & Nick, Panorama Cotton, Contra HC, Vampire Killer)

Before ebay - Have you considered ordering from Japan via a proxy? Fees and overall prices will be much less than if you use eBay. You can order via Mercari, Yahoo, Rakutan, and other outlets where you can often see the shape of your games before ordering. If you want to take a bit of a...

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

Man, I'm just loving all the little details in the backgrounds! The bear is a nice callback to Marco's stage in MOTW. On the rock climbing wall, some of the holds are the two face halves of the Neo Geo logo, one of the holds is a full on Neo CD pad, the name of the fitness club is Yuri - but is...

    Have You Ever Thought Of...

I let go over half of my game library last year and haven't regretted it a single day. I still buy the occasional retro game here and there, but there is no "building my collection" at this point. I have everything classic I want, more or less, and have my PC for all modern day stuff and emu...

Trying to Review Every Neo Geo Game on Youtube

"bubububub baseball stars TWOOOOO!" haha, great video as usual, man. I don't like sportball much, but SNK made or published some excellent sports games. Baseball Stars 2 along with Neo Turf Masters are the only sports games I own besides the Virtua Tennis series on Dreamcast.

What was the first neogeo game you played in an arcade cabinet?

If memory serves correctly, it was Samurai Shodown and Fatal Fury Special in the same cab. I only got to play for a credit each. About 6 months later KOF 94 at Aladdin's Castle was up on one of their huge projection screen monitors and that experience forever changed my perspective of fighting...

    Anyone here collect toys/Action Figures?

Anyone see these new Mega Man figures yet? Kinda excited there are finally quality Robot Master figures rather than just the lead cast and big villains. I've always had a thing for Mega Man action figures. Because it's all robots, the joints make sense rather than always looking just out of place.

    Upscaler in 2024

Oh interesting! Yeah, the 2X outputs in 480p 4:3 natively. Both of my modern TVs (an LG and Samsung) support low-latency modes in either screen ratio - just had to reset the ratio after turning on game mode. If you have good response times without game mode, though, might be okay for you.

    Upscaler in 2024

I've been using a RetroTink 2X/2X Pro for years. The Pro has a scanline filter, and it's a no fuss, plug and play solution. You can get the 2X Scart which also has a scanline mode - although, I don't use scanline filters on modern displays, so your milage may vary. If I want scanlines, I have a...

Might want to drop the price on the Analogue Duo - it's still for sale on their web store for $250 for immediate shipment. ;)

The 1999 game selection - your favorites?

Thank you! Somebody that agrees with my Ganryu assessment. Some Visco games are excellent (Breaker's Revenge, Drift Out series, Andro, etc.) while their late 90's releases were sub-par at best. I'm still waiting for an explanation (probably budget, etc.) how we went from this absolutely...

The 1999 game selection - your favorites?

From 1999? MSX is definitely my favorite release of the year, followed by KOF 99, then Garou, then Strikers. That's me in my 40's talking, though. I think if I were to put myself in my 18 year old shoes from 1999, I would have said Garou, then KOF, then MSX. Tastes change over time.

    Generic Shit on LinkedIn

My career is in HR Talent Management, and I've had to sit back and watch LinkedIn take over both recruiting and development in all organizations I've worked in over the last decade. Like it or not, if you want a corpo job these days, it's more or less imperative to interact with it in one way or...
