What is this on my Metal Slug 3 cart?

This is an original Metal Slug 3 MVS cart, ordered from SNK.

Out of all the MVS carts I have seen I never seen this on any other cart.....

It's Legit..

It's a little daughter board...added for some reason..
I'm not sure on the details of it but my MS3 cart has it and it's clear cased too..(US)

I knew it was an original as I did order it direct from SNK when it came out, tax write off too :) . But thanks for replying so fast

There must have been something wrong with the code and that's how they updated it (I believe the hardware is similar to NGPC carts) I have one without a daughter board, probably a later revision.

I've got an MS 3 cart just like that - purchased it from the Neo Store in a complete kit, and my cart was also clear. Nothing to worry about, it's legit.

It's flash memory. SNK got resourceful at the end of their run and used bits laying around from NGPC stock ;) This is identical to the older style EPROM changes, however... done in flash.
