I've searched this on the news section and I wasn't able to find a thread.

If this is a dupe, please, delete it.


SNK Playmore posted a 2 minutes video about a new Samurai Shodown game.

Bases on the characters it seem like a SamSho like the second game.


At the end of the video there's this gold box that I would guess it's an arcade but who knows.

What do you guys think?
Arcade only?

PS3/Xbox 360 only? PS4/Xbox One ready?

looks bad anyways. I don't know what they are thinking, but that is not what the fans want, or what current generation gamers want.

If they want to do this the easy way, take Samurai Shodown 64 2, Asura Zanmaden, cel shade the models, tweak the mechanics to increase the speed, incorporate the backgrounds of SS 64, with interactive stages.

That would be a very easy project for Playmore. The 3D work does not need to be complicated. What they did with that 3D pachishit was an abomination, where everything looked like plastic barbie dolls. They also finally managed to make Jubei look like he's suffering from alzheimers.

LOL, and if that shitty pop-punk is any indication, at the very least the team marketing this doesn't get the Samurai Shodown fan base at all. What a disaster.

Fortunately for PlayWhore the type of people who play these games don't know what Samurai Spirits is.

Well this got me all excited then a total let down, man this sucks but maybe there's a fighter still in the works.

Don't want people getting excited about that as I was till I found out what a Pachi Slot is.

We know there is. They announced ages ago that they were developing a SamSho and a KOF game for PS3/360, both with 3D graphics. They've been pulling together everyone they can to work on them, including staff from SNKP USA.

Its a Pachi-slot, so I'm not concerned about it. An abomination, yes, but an abomination intended only for Japan.

If the next KOF or Samurai Shodown actually end up looking and sounding like this, I'll happily provide the torches and pitchforks if you provide the fuel and matches.

Pachislots machines are fun, but i just dont get the marketing behind them. I saw somes based on Aliens, Predator, Rocky, Resident Evil, Tekken.. What kind of demographic are they going for? haha

Yea i know i'm the one that posted the thread here about that but nothing has been said or concrete it was just a job listing that someone found and translated not an announcement from SNK.
So most likely there's still a fighter in the works but won't be official until SNK announce something.

As a longtime Las Vegas resident who works in a casino, I can tell you that video game based slot machines aren't too uncommon here, though they're mostly based off of mobile games (Angry Birds, Plants Vs. Zombies).

That and if we can have slot machines based off of Footloose and Ferris Bueller, then why not more based off of video games?
