Not 100%, but I could see a Mass crew roadtrip to pickup cabs. A few guys did that last time I did this.

If the NAC doesn't have a screen that is burnt in, go ahead and sign me up, 400 miles is easy for me :D

Put the cab bros down for a Versus City, if the monitors on them are minimal burn.

Cab Bros for Lyfe!

It's safe to say that between my brother and myself, we're down for two these at 650 a pop. What'cha say Masabro?

And don't worry, if Waifu-to-be puts her foot down, we'll keep them at my place :roll::roll:

At first I was wondering how exactly would they fit all those Versus cabs in a container... then I saw how the Astros are UNDER them in the picture...

...that can't be good... am I seeing that correctly?

The board should disperse the weight/force across all of the cabs.

That being said, I'm getting a VS, so I don't give a shit.

Yeah but just getting them up there on top of the Astros like that could have caused some damage in the process.

In regards to them being stacked, the NAC cabs are really strong. I'm sure it's a non issue.

I'm not nervous about stacking, but I'm more partial to a white one even if it only has a 1p control panel. I can always swap that out compared to restoring a yellow smokey mess bleh.

so far , from what I read online , the differences between the VS city and the "new" VS city are

- new is tri-sync . old is 15/24
- new is jamma/jvs . old is jamma

is this correct ?

Correct. More specifically, the NVC uses the ms2930 manual trisync chassis (this appears to be stock). The PSU used is the NVS-4000 in the NVS (which used a model 3 based amp internally for stereo) and the harness used is the Sega 002 loom. So, no -5V but you can run a naomi cart setup, you would need the sun-psu for netdimm/gd-rom use. Another thing to note, you cannot use the capcom i/o for converting the controls for JVS/jamma. You have to use the sega one where 5-buttons come from the jamma and button 6 comes from the auxillary. So if you want to use one of these for MVS/cps2/cps3/naomi, then the wiring gets a little complicated [just a heads up].

The versus city is NAC based in that it uses the great for 15khz ms9 chassis. I am not sure on the model of the PSU, but I know it has stereo support and I am fairly certain you can use the capcom i/o on the VC. If you only wanted 31khz, then you could replace the chassis with ms2932.

Any other questions in regards to the NVC, then I am certain BIGTIME can elaborate.

I would like to get on board with this for either a NVC, or NAC if the the NVC's are all spoken for. Any ideas on shipping to Toronto? If it's too crazy or costs more than the gas it would take to drive, I could look into borrowing my brother-in-law's truck; an 8 hour drive isn't so bad, and an excuse to take a road trip!

Had a chance to check one out at Matsu's. Had never seen one in person before and didn't realize what awesome cabs they are. If I had the room.... Lol.

I'm so tempted to pick one up at that price. But with an Astro h2h setup and a Blast h2h setup (and no space for more cabs) I don't think I can justify it.

Hmm, Google maps says just under 500 miles away about an 8 hour drive... Keep me in as a maybe for a NAC right now. Can a NAC fit into a mini van without being dissembled (I know the control panel is fixed to the body)?
