Post your Christmas hauls!

It was a very disc golf Christmas for me this year. The wife hooked it up with a new backpack, some training tools, and we got a sweet mini basket to tie us over this winter.

Booze and a painting, and wool socks of course.

From others: Clothing, candy/food, gift cards.

From M: Lots and lots of toys. That dude gets me. 😂

I got myself a few things this year, mainly stereo equipment and records.

I got a new wallet too, much needed. I run them to the death lol.

From other people? Not really lol. I got a DataVac which I've been meaning to get for awhile, but everything else was just small nick-knacks, my partner and I tried to stick to a modest gift budget this year. Bought myself a lot of cool stuff though 😏

Free Halo Infinite code from the fourms was prolly the highlight of my holidays lol

I wanted to finally buy myself a MSX computer and relive the glory days of computing like a nerd but I have yet to decide which model I'm buying so I'm still looking for one :lolz:

Got some standard gifts from other people, nothing too exciting.

I was always intrigued with the MSX but I have only emulated.

This was more a year of giving tbh, though I did get myself some nice stuff. I got the wife a custom ring and some other things. Mainly though I have 10 nieces and nephews who I've hardly seen since covid started, so I fucked them up with presents and money. I also finally made a grown up Christmas card list in Google sheets so I never have to hand write addresses on Christmas cards again.

Got the weekend off for Christmas (can't remember the last time I had 2days off in a row that didn't require being sick) and a $200 gift from the good folks at the local casino late last night...or was it early this morning? :buttrock:

Kinda gay but did anyone do any self-reflection on their year? I always do this around Christmas time but have been so busy I never got a chance to be alone and put on some music. Nuts it's already the 27th and I never started to get my Christmas Spirit. Maybe this is what it means to get older.

All my introspection happens on new years. For a couple years now my GF and I write our goals for the year, seal them and check back on them before year end. I usually end up meeting most of them but never feel accomplished for some reason, dunno why I still do it

I've always been pretty cheerful and into the holidays and then depressed immediately following christmas, but as I've gotten older I've been less and less in the holiday spirit but somehow the same depressed feeling's still there right after christmas, what gives

SS aside, my wife gifted me a boxed SFxT fightstick I picked out, among other koll gifts. I got usual practical gifts I like, such as Dickies pants, too.

I went light on the self-gifting this year. A blu Ray and Scott Pilgrim (PS4) on sale at BB.

We do around Christmas or February (our birthday). Reflecting on where we were in life and where we are now. For the most part it's been improvements and on the way to accomplishing goals, but the best reflections are the ones that are completely out of nowhere (last year it was moving to Virginia at a whim).
