Have I already mentioned Burgertime Deluxe? If I haven't, get on that. Game is damn good.

Let's go! I love the Burgertime port on Intellivision. That's about the only game that damn dial control worked well on. Ha! When I found the Burgertime rom, I kept scrolling and found Elevator Action and added that as well. I like classic arcade games for quick pick up and play action. And the GB seems to have quite a bit of them, which is great.

Cyborg Kuro Chan for GBC. It's a fun little Gekisha Boy clone. Language barrier isn't too bad either and it's under the radar of collectors. Get get.

Oh also, minor update on Wing Warriors. My report of wonky ass controls got elevated to the developer, so hopefully he reaches out soon with some feedback as to why the game wont work on a modded GB

Try out Lock 'n Chase also. Had a blast the other day beating both quests. It has an ending and you can credit feed until you beat each level.

@max 330 mega, there is an alternate Sunsoft variant for Burgertime Deluxe. Stick with the Data East one, should be cheaper.

I wonder if after the Tetris movie comes out, listings on ebay start padding GB and Tetris prices. //facepalm

What kind of price range should I expect on this Burger Time Deznutz?

I bought the Japanese version (identical to US release) for like $30 (cart only). I think? US might be a little pricier. Haven't looked in awhile. The Japanese copy has a better cover too.

Cool, I won an auction today for $26.99 + $5 shipping for a US copy. That it was a descent price now a days…
Yeah for sure. Totally worth it too. It's a tough game but not cheap, like you can see the fairness. I still have yet to complete it.

Played through SamSho today with Jubei. Really, a great game on the GB. All 12 characters, even Earthquake, and it plays great. After beating the final boss and going through the all the ending screens and text, a message comes up that says press select 3 times during the demonstration mode when Haohmaru appears, and you can play as 3 additional characters: judge, Amakusa, and a 3rd one that I forget. When I tried this, I couldn't get it to work though. Anyone have any experience with this?

Ok, I figured it out. While the message only says to hit select 3 times when Haohmaru appears during the opening demo mode, that doesn't take into account that he appears in multiple screens throughout the mode. So I tried it each time a new screen comes up. On the 3rd or 4th screen, it worked. It's the screen where he is cutting the tree in half, just after the one with close up of his eyes, so get ready when you see that one. When the screen with him cutting the tree appears, pound select quickly and then you'll hear a chime to indicate that it worked.

I'll attach a pic:

Real talk.
Got Maru’s mission for 5 bucks. Why the hate? I am beginning to love these Jaleco releases. They feel like early SNK titles. Janky but fast and fun. Like i really do enjoy this game, its barely hanging on by a thread. Its fun.

Can't remember if max 330 mega likes Mega Man games or not? When I was a kid they intimidated the hell out of me but I became a huge fan in the mid-2000s and owned all five Game Boy games at one point (holy FUCK at the prices now).

Anyways, they hold up really well. Like remixes of the NES games and perfect to play through in an afternoon. Like the NES games, the first is still my favorite. Played through the first three recently and on the fourth one now, which has put me off since the whole screen shakes when you power up the Mega Buster and shoot, horrible design choice.

The first has a good difficulty balance, and the second gives health drops like candy where you can just fly through the stages, but the third has a big difficulty ramp up imo. All of them great platformers. One of them has a boss where it's a Mega Man from the future and he hops on a pogo stick. Zany

I took some pictures because I love the Wily castles pixel art, and when you get the weapons after beating the boss. The first GB game has the best post-boss weapon get art in the entire series.

To my surprise I learned they were not developed in house at Capcom. Incredible because whoever made it captured the feel of the NES games perfectly.

For the love of everything holy, adjust the aspect ratio of those games. You can play 4:3 games on a 16:9 screen, there's always something in the settings. They usually have themed borders even.
