Not enough pictures of records on turntables. Thread title isn’t “collectard wank show”.

Don’t ever think you can’t wear out a 180g LP. For sure you can.

I’m typically of the “‘greatest hits’ are for people who will never get it” mentality but this collection does a good job of proving the opposite point. The singles are a massive PITA to find now and “the moment” has passed for a band that is clearly great forever. New generations need new ways to take them in.

This 2xLP is easy to obtain and money well spent experiencing one of the great 80s bands…a band that never had a publicist to tell everyone how great they were, who don’t have staff working 40 hours a week even now lobbying to get them into the Hall of Fame like Depeche, The Cure, etc. Legit legends, IMO.

Imagine just posting pics of your plays then enjoying them instead of throwing on a legit shit-tastic record just long enough to take an Instagram pic so you can spam a thread on some irrelevant forum to up your post count like @SignOfZeta does.

PS: CD > vinyl. kekz

Got a new cupboard for sorting all my vinyl. The initial idea was to also store my cd's and tapes in there. but it will only be tapes probably

Meanwhile…I just rotated about that many records out of my main living room shelf to make room for more new stuff.

Imagine it’s 1973 and you’re phoning your local radio station and asking them to play the lead cut off the bestselling double album from a band who was at that time selling arenas world-wide and them being like, “No, dude. That’s just impossible, we have a business to run here.”
