Seems like a simple enough solution. Lots of games have volume sliders for sound fx and music in an options menu.
The original game had great bass heavy sound fx that really stood out in crowded arcades. Even in a room full of loud cabs, Bad Dudes and RoboCop made their presence known by their...
I'm a huge fan of Bad Dudes. Played it a ton on an actual cab after school back on its release, so a port that's as close to 1:1 as possible on the Neo would be great imo. I find that their implementation of "humor" detracts from their products.
The added parallax in stage 1 is a nice touch...
Why?
I don't get it either. For some reason, they think it's funny to waste massive amounts of time programming a game to ruin it with infantile fart and squishy noises. :oh_no:
We'll get a chance to see how well they do with DoA, since it's getting an enhanced 2P port for the Neo this Christmas.
Demons of Asteborg - GBA & Neo Geo
So far, Neofid has been both consistent in their releases and receptive to feedback. With that said, small studios usually struggle with releasing for multiple platforms. Either this new game is going to be fairly simple or they have a fantastic SNES programmer on board now.
The Retrotink 2X-Pro will work just fine for people that just want to play the game. If the console attached supports s-video cables, then that would generally be the cheapest SD option.
With that out of the way, there is a good reason to look at the original OSSC or a Retrotink 5X, and that...
Ironically, a new AOF produced in the modern era would likely play great and the mechanics that used to be janky would likely be implemented far better. It's the actual franchise that likely wouldn't sell. I remember not too long ago when Terry Bogard was added to Smash Brothers and the majority...
I was there when all of those games were released. Literally at multiple arcades at the time with different crowds late into the Naomi era when arcades really started to die out. Once people got past the nice looking graphics on the AOF games, they died a quick death. Multiple Neo cabs empty or...
LOL...shaming tactics and elitism for a sub-par game. We all have a guilty pleasure, but deluding yourself into thinking that a dead-end series like AOF was some kind of hidden gem is insanity at its finest. Might as well love Time Killers and War Gods too.
Loving trash issue. It's all good...
100% disagree with you on this. The gameplay on the first 2 AOF games was janky trash with poor zooming. AOF3 went off the rails to try something different which I give them credit for. It was pretty but still sucked ass. It literally sat empty at the arcades that I used to frequent while SF...
Trying to revive AOF would be fruitless. The old games looked impressive for their time but played like trash. It took KOF to finally make AOF characters play well.
Yea. Get rid of the DJ and the Soccer player and add my awesome DLC characters instead. :fedora:
Plays like the Hornet from Fighting Vipers. Konami code gives you Doc Brown who blasts his opponent with 1.21 JIGGAWATTS as his super.
Four touchdowns in a single game! Special intro has Al and...
I checked out the video and the shilling by Neo Ness is laughable. Thought that he was above that type of thing. Projectretrogames is blatantly lying about working with IQ and getting called out for it.
