There is NQ64 in Edinburgh now. Not been, but looks like Kobo with more ambition.
Yeah I’ve not been either, does look like a good list of games but no Neo stuff… if that really matters

I plan to be in London sometime in April. I would love to meet up with anyone who's up for it. On a previous trip, I met Lee Gray. I'm definitely up for a meet up with more members if anyone is interested. If anyone wants to play games, then great. But even if it's just to meet, then that's fine too.

I popped into NQ64 Edinburgh yesterday. Its alright value wise, 15 tokens for £7. Most games one token, light gun games cost 2 tokens.

They had a snes, megadrive, n64 and PlayStation setup with everdrives or similar devices setup full of romz. Those didn’t require any tokens to play but obviously were popular because of that. SNK wise there was Fatal Fury and Samurai Shodown on Megadrive.

I played Golden Axe, Point Blank 2, House of the Dead 3, Virtua Fighter and Track n field. A decent afternoon with a few pintz.

Deffo up for a UK meet up somewhere. I don’t mind London, but with the userbase spread around the UK, might suit others if it’s half way up the country e.g Manchester

Some photos of NQ64 in Edinburgh. They did play some awful rap music and had most the arcade machines on low volume with no music, but it was alright and a decent attempt to try and make a arcade bar that still appeals to the mainstream - if they don’t make a profit they won’t survive after all. Anyone visiting Edinburgh shoot me a PM if you fancy checking it out.

Tell them to stop stretching the damn games to 16:9. TVs have a 4:3 option.

Can't believe I haven't heard of any real arcades in London. There's Las Vegas Arcade in Soho which has imported rhythm games (cool to see) but it's a puny size and no Neo.

They’ve opened one here too. Still not tried it, looks like a shit(er) Nandos.

Only previous experience of Taco Bell was in Demolition Man with Stallone in the weird future setting where everything is Taco Bell because of the franchise wars or some shit.

Fun fact - Taco Bell was edited to Pizza Hut in some international releases of the movie as TB was virtually unknown in some territories. Also, Sandra Bullock in that movie is ridiculously hot

I'll let you know ahead of time once I have exact dates of when I'll be there and where I'm staying. I'm down for whatever, video games or just hanging out.
