I went for several years without a PC. When I wanted a computer again I went with the M1 Mini. Just seemed like an extraordinary value for the money.

I like Apple’s products though I tend to buy their budget offerings (SE Phones, base model watch, and iPad.)

I just don’t care to tinker on my primary device.

The M1 is fast, but it's not as if speed is the only factor in deciding which computer to buy.
And RISC chips have disadvantages, just like CISC.

My iPhone 6s is only losing latest OS support at the end of this year. I can’t really blame Apple for abandoning support. Not many android devices have OS support after 3 years let alone the 7 the iPhone 6s will have had by September this year.
