I've mostly been playing on my AES the last few months, and now I'm getting a bit better at NTM fancied another go at the Scotland course, so got my NGCD out tonight. I played one round with no saving/cheating, and while +19 doesn't sound like a great score, this is an insanely tough course compared to the 4 standard courses, and I managed either par or birdie on 11 holes. My high score was mainly due to a few O.B.s on holes with water hazards, and some of thse holes really are like crazy golf! But I think with a bit of practice I could par this course.

@Ken7stars do you ever play the Scotland course? I would be interested to see what kind of score you could manage on it.

In my firsts matches in scotland i’ve ended at + 23 and more
Yesterday i was near to goldcard
For scotland i need always my notes beside me
There’s heavy rough before the green in almost all holes
So when the pin it’s down on the green it needs to use one club more and downspin, to evitate heavy rough

By saying hole by hole
At Hole n.1 with wind 0 the right position it’s 1 movement right from stock position
To pass between the bunkers
With wind 2 or 3 it needs intuition to evitate the bunkers
For the second shot heavy rough it’s not so close to the green
But when the pin it’s on the hill at down right (level 8 pin position) heavy rough can be a problem , so i use one club more and downspin

At hole num 2 with wind 0 or forward it’s possible to arrive in green from the tee
It needs the precise direction (white arrow position 3 left, + 3 little movements right, but not white arrow position 2)
With 4-5 bounces on the rocks green it’s possible, and then try eagle
Unfortunately, this cannot be a setup with wind 0
‘Cause the ball can bounce ok at the first rock, or can bounce bad and go in water

For hole num 5 the first shot it’s in function of the second shot
It needs with wind 0 white arrow position 2 left
To not find the trees in front for the 2nd shot
And hope the pin it’s not down on the green
It’s possible to use the 230y with robert
But it’s a risk sometimes
I usually use 250y and 2 hooks to lose yards
With wind forward from the tee it needs hooks to lose yards, or will be rough
It’s important to not go at left
Or many pretty trees will be in front

For hole num 3
It’s important to have after the first shot ´round 280 yards
So if wind 0 i use the 200y and downspin
It’s also important the direction from the tee
For not have the tree in front
For the second shot it’s also possible use 270y snd 1 or 2 hooks

For Hole num 4 it’s not possible with robert evitate the trees with 2 hooks
Robert have only 2 hooks and the ball end in rough at left of the green
So the only choice it’s point at the little space in the leafs of the tree
The little space at right and left
When the pin it’s at left down and center top it’s not a problem
When the pin it’s center down it’s a problem
‘Cause from the tee i can’t point straight, or i’ll not arrive in green
So i’m obligazed to point at the little space at left of the tree
And the putt can be difficult as for the video above of -18

Wow 18 under, impressive! I'd be happy with anything below par
Thanks
With some training you can get good scorecard and goldcard
My advice it’s to start scotland at level 1
Write notes for reference of directions
Do hole by hole with hole select-)

Hole 6 it’s one of the many holes that the first shot it’s in function of the 2nd shot
If wind 0 i can use 230y and topspin
If wind 0 again for 2nd shot at again 230y and i’m ok
With wind it needs to understand how can be the wind for 2nd shot
If will be only wind 3, ok, i use 230y from the tee
But the 230y will be not enough for 2nd shot
I need 250y and by the wind i can use 1 or 2 hooks to lose yards, or without hooks

For hole 7 once again the firsts 2 shots ate in function of the 3rd shot
If the pin it’s down on the green
I can use 2 times 210y
If the pin it’s at the top of the green
I can use one time 210y, and one time 220y
There’s some stuff to reasoning to have a good 3rd shot

Hole num 8 it’s something i’m trying to study
It needs to have the "point zero" ‘Cause it’s blind spot
By knowing the good position of the white arrow i can arrive near to the pin

But i don’t know if will be wind 12 against if i can use the 170y from the tee
Maybe i’ll hit the green raised in front of the tee
But i suppose it’s possible with strong wind against to use the 170y or more
Or the shot would be impossible if i hit the green raised

For hole num 9 with wind 0 it’s easy to arrive in the fairway with one slice
With wind against i have the option to stay on the right side of the first bunker
Or near to the second bunker

At hole 10 tee shot can be very difficult with wind east or west
The fairway it’s narrow and curved
If i’m not sure to go over the little fairway, i can stay near to the bunker with a short shot
But the second shot will be very long,’round 300y
And it will be very difficult to arrive in green
The tee shot at 10 it’s what i study
It needs experience to shot safely with wind 8,10, 12

At hole 11 it needs the precise direction from the tee with wind 0
With wind if i go in rough there’s no probs
I just need more power and downspin ´cause the green it’s raised
The point it’s not go in heavy rough from the tee

For hole 12 it needs reference for every pin position
This shot can be difficult with much wind against

For hole 14 with wind 0 the good direction from the tee it’s white arrow position 5
And i’m safe in fairway
With wind it needs to arrive anyway in fairway
In the -18 i’ve did a mistake with the height
It was better to shoot all low
By shooting nice i went in bunker

The Tee shot at 13 can be difficult if much wind against
It’s possible at level 8 to be obligazed to use the 250y
And there’s no downspin with this club
So this shot can be impossible

At 15 it’s easy to arrive in the fairway at right with wind 0 or few wind
But when wind it’s difficult
The only option can be go in the rough in front, before the trees
And the second shot can be difficult

Hole 16 it’s the hole that can decide goldcard or no goldcard
I can take the risk to jump on the rock
If the jump it’s good, i can try birdie
If wind can’t let me jump, i must turnndown and go to the little fairway at left
This can means a par
And goodbye goldcard
It’s possible hole in one with wind 0 or few wind

Hole 17 with wind 0 it’s not difficult as it seems
For the tee shot it needs white arrow position 8
To not find the tree in front
With bad wind, it’s not a tragedy to go in rough
With little experience i can use from rough the 250y or 270y
So i can arrive again in rough before the 2nd little fairway
Then it’s not a prob arrive in green and try birdie

If i’m in the first little fairway
I can use the 230y and 1 or 2 hooks and arrive in the second little fairway
With much wind east or west this hole can be difficult

For hole 18 with wind 0 i can set white arrow position 6and i’m safe over the tree and bunker
It’s also possible until wind 5
But the tree before the bunker can be a problem, it’s better don’t hit him
With wind against i can’t go over the bunker
It’s a long hole, and if robert ho in rough it’s a problem
He can’t arrive in green
So the alternative it’s stay from the tee at right to the first bunker
This shot needs experience
Usually with few wind against the 230y and downspin can be good
With much wind against the 250y it’s obligazed
And this can be a kamikaze shot
When the pin it’s down on the green, once again to stay safe i prefer one club more and downspin, to evitate heavy rough before the green

The lasts holes can be difficult

I’ve finish the long posts!! Lol

Fantastic Ken.

I'm in the speedrun business now, lol.
Hehe
Very good that you get high scores with only 30 seconds for shot
Before i’ve played like that
Now for my style to play i’ve figured it out for me it’s difficult to chip in with strong wind with only 30 seconds

Then I’m trying to better again this score in scotland
My dream it’s -23 in scotland at lev 4

With 2 eagles at the par 5 , 5 and 14
And with 0 wind in some holes i think it’s possible
