I am looking at this picture of one of the boards from an AES homecart Metal Slug 2 (Japanese) on sale at the NeoStore at the moment. I am wondering what the whiteish marks are, located about half an inch above the left hand side hole?

Yeah it was pretty common in the SNK factories for workers to leave a cum stain on a board. Think of it as a artist’s signature.

Yea its just a protective coating thats applied at the factory, it helps protect the PCBs from moisture and such.
