Probably one of the more unique games on the Neo Geo, due to the two-plane mechanic. That mechanic is something i feel still has a lot of potential, as seen in games like Virtual Boy Wario Land. Excellent video by the way :D

It probably has to do with the music by Manabu Namiki. That and the weird scoring system by NMK where shooting the ground gives you points. Another thing would be its brief length.

I mean, for a western-developed port, Raiden is the better shoot 'em up on the Atari Jaguar when compared to Trevor McFur in the Crescent Galaxy, but it ranks below Defender 2000, Tempest 2000, and Protector. But nowdays, it's better to just grab the Arcade Archives release or emulate the game...

Never understood that design decision of disabling credits on the final stages of Shinobi. I get that it's to make you work for it but even that is too excessive i feel.
