    MISTer FPGA?

According to a good article on the Street Fighter III: Third Strike PS2 PC decompile I read here "An important part of the project is its legal structure. The repository does not include the original game assets such as graphics, music, or other copyrighted content. Users must provide their own...

    MISTer FPGA?

Just got the vibe coded Street Fighter III: Third Strike PS2 ARM version up and running. Just followed a YouTube (Pixel Cherry Ninja tutorial) and change some ini settings. The only change you need to do to be compatible to the new version is change the project name (changed from 3SX to 3S-ARM)...

    MISTer FPGA?

So I just tried the Mister Companion and it's extremely convenient for changing the ini file if you're going back and forth between HDMI out and the CRT stuff. Just one drop down on the ini section to switch and it communicates with the mister via wifi. Just used it to back up my save files...

https://github.com/Anime0t4ku/mister-companion?tab=readme-ov-file#readme Going to be trying the Companion tonight... might be a really cool way to back up saves, change out roms, and deal with all the stuff without moving the SD card around. Has anyone else messed around with this yet?

Final Fantasy I (NES) Played through the game (Fighter/Blackbelt/ Red Mage/ Black Mage) and played with the Nintendo Power guide. Got to the end then power leveled all my characters to the max (lvl. 50). Once I discovered that Fast Spell + Blackbelt just *melts* everything, the game was very...

VF5 Revo Hell yes. New balance patch is coming March 26 so I might get back into it. They've announced that some system changes may be happening too, which would be nice if they got rid of the stagger mechanic. I'm too old for rocking the joystick back and forth rapidly. PS5 / Final Fantasy...

GBA: Final Fantasy 1 will always be one of my favorites. I had this on a long plane ride and then continued to just grind grind grind. The graphics were good and the rebalance makes it just easy AF to play. I recall that even the nice treatment couldn't save Final Fantasy II on the Dawn of Souls...

Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition (PS5): Previously played this almost to the end - this time I focused on the story and plowed through the main story line to get to the DLC scenarios and wrap everything up. I'm really enjoying the New Game Plus mode. Like FF XVI, the New Game Plus becomes this...

I agree - I really like the characters, it's what's keeping me engaged through the DLC. I find myself checking on Joshua and Jill. I can also see why all the fan love for Clive as well. Hope to see Final Fantasy 17 learn from the mistakes of 13 through 16 and create something cooler. I'll be...

    Weekly Roundup

PS5 Final Fantasy XVI: Finally finished the main story of Final Fantasy 16. It took me 77 hours and I wound up turning the game to "story mode" (easy mode) about half way through due to the silly combat system. There were some things I really liked about the game, and some things I hated. Now...

Pixels to Pages The Story of Electronic Gaming Monthly

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/egmbook/egmcompendium The kickstarter is for the archive and the compendium. I haven't read the compendium yet - I think a digital version may be out. The archive is super fun to look through.

Pixels to Pages The Story of Electronic Gaming Monthly

Oh man... loved this video. I recently backed the EGM Compendium and have been enjoying re-reading all of the old issues online. There were definitely some years there in high school I read each issue in great detail - so it was so nice going down memory lane. The video was great - I love that...

Great games you've only played through once

Tenchu - I played the hell out of it when it came out... then played MGS.. then never went back to Tenchu. I remember really enjoying. I might play it again!

    Your 2025 GOTY

Monster Hunter Wilds - Capcom finally dumbed down the game enough for me to get into it - and added enough MMO like elements to keep me hooked. My Hunter Rank is almost 400 now and no signs of slowing down.

Monster Hunter Wilds (PS5): The recent Final Fantasy collaboration - the Omega Planetes fight - is amazing. It's like an MMO raid where you need 2x DPS, Tank, and Healer and is very difficult. I just got to the point where I can take it down with the NPCs so I don't need to rely on any randos...

    Devil's Crush - Leader Board

I've been meaning to give it a go... but The Five Ordeals has so much content - I just go back to that one. I'm thinking of getting this one as well due to some friends buying it. Monster Hunter Wilds (PC): I've been just completely sucked into the Monster Hunter Wilds daily play with a good...
