Everything on it is in phenomenal shape. I did a field strip of it, yesterday, and it's in great shape. Its been shot...but not many times. The only thing I couldn't get free was the firing pin retainer. I was trying to get it loose, but no luck. With any luck, I'll take it out at the end of the...

    Cigar Central!

I'm glad I searched for this one. I've always had a fondness for cigars, but over the past year I've really grown to enjoy my cigar sessions. Being from the States, I don't have access to some, including an actual Cuban...but I don't feel that is some killer thing, just more of a limitation...

Its been a bit, but I finally had the time to watch Eddington...and it did not disappoint. That movie was a masterclass pressure cooker the entire time. It encapsulated everything from 2020, in one tidy package. One of the better films that I've seen, in some time.

BEST TV Shows to watch... CURRENTLY...

My wife and I have been trying to find some late evening time killer shows. We consumed most of the decent ones. Has anyone here watched Slow Horses, or Star City yet? On that note, Pluribus was amazing...and Silo, Dune: Prophecy, Severance were all highly enjoyable, looking forward to new...

Through a series of completely unlikely events, I was able to procure a 1954, Tula made Russian SKS. Growing up in the 80's, my father had a slew of these from different makers, including the decent quality Chinese Norinco models, but I'm not 100% sure that he ever had a Russian model. This one...

I missed this one. There was a time where I was super interested in the 5.7...right up until I started looking into the ammo. I cannot quote the exact reason, but I guess that the 5.7 pistol using the same ammo as the P/S90, qualified it under some import law, and thus only really half ass...

Yeah, on occasion. Every now and again, I get the itch for it. I initially wanted to bench shoot 100 yds with it, and while I can do that, the "flinch factor" with it is strong. Shooting some full power 240g rounds, about all I can muster is 20 rounds, before I start flinching so badly, it's...

I'm now definitely a Fudd. I really enjoy taking my 44 mag Super Redhawk for a bench 25 or 50 yd session, my 45-70 CVA Scout for a 50/100 yd session, or my 627 Pro for shooting light 38 specials at steel targets. On occasion I'll run 357 magnum through the Python at 25 yds (honestly, really...

My only local range isn't the largest, and only offers a 25/50/100 yd portion. Give or take, just about any time you go to the 25yd, there's guys there with ARs, many of which are pistols. Goddamn things are seriously loud. I feel the range sightings used to be more diverse, with interesting...

    Official A/V Thread

I've been kicking around getting a 4K player, to ease up off the PS5 (you know, now that the damn things are $650 for a disc model). Sifting through the rubble of what's left of players (Sony, Panasonic, Magnetar), there's really not much to go over. Sony players seem to be highly...

It's been some time since I posted on this one. For me, 2025 was a bit of an "upgrade" year. I've been running that Denon AVR S760H since 2022, and the same old B&Ws that I've had since 2003. Still in a 4.1 config. Also, my 2018 LG LED LCD set, that was once a really nice set, was really showing...

The Illinois ban is bad (depending on your point of view), not sure how it stacks with Colorado...especially the one they just passed. A few of my largest complaints about what Illinois did are: Banning parts (and I do pretty much all gun parts, most sights just take a "will not ship to...

That firearm, and pretty much anything even close to it, are now banned where I live. I kinda had my eye on a Scorpion Evo, for years...but they banned those, too.

I would love to shoot one of those. The design is amazing, and it would be a neat collection piece...but I wonder if it shoots well I won't sit here and claim that I've messed with a bunch of HK handguns, and many do not have great triggers. Moving on... I might have mentioned earlier that...

Movie opinions thread (what have you seen, what did you think?)

The Highwaymen Saw this on the 'flix, thought "why not"...it was...solid. There were a few things I didn't know about how B&C met their end...the acting was solid enough. It could have been a bit shorter...but it was decent.

BEST TV Shows to watch... CURRENTLY...

My wife and I, being kinda bored (shitty weather outside) and looking for something to watch at night, decided to watch Vice Principals...it's no Righteous Gemstones, but it's decent.

No insult taken. I guess what I took from it was the origins of bike clubs being for social outcasts, giving them a place to belong...before they became corrupted and turned into violent crime syndicates. Perhaps there's more than that...but that was my take.

BEST TV Shows to watch... CURRENTLY...

Same here...my wife and I started watching it as a "meh, why not", and quickly fell in love with it. It's an absurd show...but it is freaking stupid and funny. The Gentleman (series): This one started out kinda slow, but in the end, it was freaking awesome. During my recent time off, I've...

Being laid up, I've watched quite a few of moves over the past month...some I haven't seen, or haven't seen in decades. The Bikeriders: I may be missing something, but this movie seemed pointless, slow, and boring. Casino: This is, and always will be a guilty pleasure of mine...I only watch...
