    40th Anniversary of U.S,NES Launch

Blue Storm is still a good game, but yeah Wave Race 64 is much better. The controls and wave physics are the star. And yeah, Blue Storm developed by a western dev, WR64 developed by Nintendo. And it shows.

    40th Anniversary of U.S,NES Launch

Because sadly they keep handing 2D Metroid off to MercurySteam. I think this is a core problem, new games just take too many resources to make so they've started handing off key franchises to 2nd party devs. Echoes of Wisdom was another victim here. Then call me a stubborn fool, because Wave...

    40th Anniversary of U.S,NES Launch

Why not both? Surely people that bought one think it's worth it. Those who didn't, don't.

    40th Anniversary of U.S,NES Launch

If the switch 2 had a game half as good as wave race or mario64 I'd get one.

    40th Anniversary of U.S,NES Launch

I just think younger gamers are a (very) different breed. Odyssey is a great example, take the Mario formula and crank up the dopamine hits by 1000... oh a moon--oh a moo--oh a moon!! It's like Mario 64 for people with 10 second long attention spans. It has 880 moons for crying out loud.

    40th Anniversary of U.S,NES Launch

It's really quite impressive just how bad the Switch 2 is. At this time in a console's life, a Nintendo console has never been this undesirable. It's also really interesting in the directs, almost every announced game is coming out for Switch 1 and 2. And then there's Nintendo exclusives that...

    You’re a Cheater

Let's face it, most people still into this genre have probably had two or three colonoscopies by now. I can't even drive in a screw with a screwdriver without my hand hurting the next day.

    Castlevania History Videos

When I was a kid I absolutely loved it. A full blown Castlevania adventure with secrets, exploration and everything? I ate it right up. I haven't played it in like 30 years, but maybe I'll grab that rom hack and give it a go.

    Castlevania History Videos

To me Castlevania 1 is one of the greatest games ever made. It's just utter perfection in a quaint 65 kilobytes. There really isn't anything I'd change about it. My age biases me for sure, but I can say that about a lot of games from the 80s and 90s. It might have just been the industry just...

    Unico Jamma Candy Cabs

The oem Vewlix screens are about 4 inches thick and very dense. Not nearly as heavy as a CRT of course, but surprisingly heavy for what they are.

Glad I'm not the only one to put CV 1 as the best. There's just something about the first one. It's very simple, but you can get into a really nice flow throughout the whole game. I've yet to 1cc it, but I've come very close. You need to make sure to play the bug fixed version, as early releases...

    Nintendo Switch

I just beat Galaxy 2 and now am onto 100% it. Great game, but I have a feeling I'll ultimately like Galaxy 1 better.

    NEO•GEO Premium Selection

That would be cool if the hardware was built with this in mind. I could be wrong but I don't think it is. The output line going high or low allows it to read two predefined sets of inputs according to the wiki So on any given frame, it can either read the first characters from each team or...

    NEO•GEO Premium Selection

Ah, there is additional hardware. I'm not a hardware guy at all, so this might be wrong. But I *think* it does this: The BIOS sets the output wire either high or low depending on which set of players it wants the inputs from. The board reads those controllers and returns the corresponding...

    NEO•GEO Premium Selection

Huh, I wonder how that works. How can the bios discern four player inputs with standard Neo hardware?

[Released] Magician Lord romhack - Again changes from Hell

I'll make it so the tool will be unavailable for Safari users. I know that's pretty crummy, but it's better than the tool creating bad results and leaving the user confused. I'm surprised I didn't already do this, as I generally never support Safari because of things like this. I just don't...

[Released] Magician Lord romhack - Again changes from Hell

Oh I think I might know what the issue is. @NeoCverA you mentioned you're on a Mac. Are you using Safari? It wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't work in Safari. Safari doesn't follow standards and pretty much just does its own thing. If you are using Safari, you should find it works fine in...

[Released] Magician Lord romhack - Again changes from Hell

Hmmm, so it worked just fine for me having the .neo built by the website. It built the exact same .neo file as the command line tool and it does the same process. Here it is running on my mister @Neo Alec and @NeoCverA are you using a neosd cart or a mister? I put the .neo option back on...

[Released] Magician Lord romhack - Again changes from Hell

This weekend I will make a strong effort to get my mister set up, then I can test maglord.neo myself and maybe get it working? Seeing that Alec got it working gives me hope.
