    SNK Classic Inserts

Your efforts to get these made was just the cherry on top of what you did to keep the AES scene alive for an extra 5 years. Those of us old enough to be around back then remember it well and won't forget it. I used to keep my classic edition stuff pretty precious, in hard plastic clear sleeves...

    SNK Classic Inserts

These inserts were made by SNK at Shawn's request because the inserts they were making for games, with the awful big block text on the side, looked bad compared to the rest of the library (and of course, the red stripe on Slug 4 and 5 didn't match the blue of the others). The only catch was SNK...

    Breakers Revenge Chicago

Some very quick unboxing photos and first impressions for you guys. The game looks, sounds and plays great. The game has a welcome fluidity that is typical of the best Neo fighters. And there is no lag feeling whatsoever (playing on an OG Vewlix). What appears to be a super robust training mode...

    Breakers Revenge Chicago

It's hard for me to overstate how amazing Batsugun Exa is, it's one of the very best games I've played in years. Agree with your other sentiments

    Breakers Revenge Chicago

Yea for sure. Right now Exa stuff is at the front end of the arcade business model, very expensive and prohibitive for home use. The platform is 4-5 years old now and it's kind of crazy how it's tough to even find older titles for a discount. I think that's mainly attributable to the shrinking...

    Breakers Revenge Chicago

A Neo port of an enhanced port of a 26 year old Neo game? I can get behind that. But sounds unlikely. I have this coming and will post impressions/review when it arrives.

    Breakers Revenge Chicago

The game is now available in the Exa shop.

So how many of you goobs own NGH/AES games?

I'm missing around 17 games for the full set. It's sort of like this big project I've been working on my entire adult life. Many of my games I've had since the late 90s. Most of them have a story behind them and I feel very fortunate to have what I have, and as many have mentioned, to have the...

    Breakers Revenge Chicago

I think the Exa is at its best when it is doing sort of re-mastered ultimate editions of older games. Batsugun, Dodonpachi True Death, Crimson Katana, Gimmick!, P47 Aces all feel that way to me, as I'm sure the Neo fighter ports do, though I haven't tried those myself yet.

    Breakers Revenge Chicago

I'm not sure what the mood/consensus is about the Exa here at N-g.com these days. But I have one and it's amazing. It's crazy expensive. But Neo Geo was too. And at its best Exa definitely feels like Neo Geo. Gimmick!, Batsugun and P47 Aces on Exa.... [chefs kiss] "It is so choice" - Ferris...

Neobitz Presents "Knight's Chance" - AES Pre-Orders Now Open

Not happy about unexpectedly dropping $400 today. But other than that, very happy. Still the best Neo homebrew.

Kraut Buster New NGDEV - 2015

Definitely seems like something like that is going on. Couple more small cool things I forgot to mention. Blood is on by default in AES mode on a standard US AES. And, you can add more credits in AES mode by pushing the select button on the continue screen.

Kraut Buster New NGDEV - 2015

Quick update here. I've had my Kraut Buster AES for a couple months now but finally tried it out last night. I was impressed! The game is really fun, obvious a ton of time and effort went into it. Happy to report it doesn't really feel like a straight Slug ripoff - obviously same type of game...

I got mine too. Just kind of became a weird experiment after so much time passed. Put it on the shelf, I’ll fire it up someday. lol
