I miss finding crusty, old mom and pop game centers in Japan like this one near Namba station in Osaka. I never heard about an arcade stabbing when I was there, but often played SSZS at a small game center at Hankyu Nishinomiya Station in Hyogo-ken, Japan

A pic I took of Tsutenkaku in Shin Sekai which is near Namba, Osaka Station. It's odd that Shin Sekai means "New World" when the style of the area is very 1950's/1960's future design. I thought that tower was super neat though.
