Code for the multitap adapters was added to the unstable Neo Geo core for the MiSTer a few months ago.

You may want to check through RTINGS review on it. Most modern TV's are very good at upscaling 480p and it's already a good sign that your RAD2X looks and plays great. I suggest tweaking sharpness settings as that usually helps a great deal with old school pixel content.
