I'm shocked that he is a citizen of the Fourth Reich EU.

The new Anbernic RG477M seems pretty cool - 4.7" 4:3 120Hz w/BFI. US$300 though.

Seems like the perfect handheld PS2. My RP4 Pro does great, but takes a little tinkering. This seems plug and play for the most part. I just hate the color options and wish they had it in plastic.

I wouldn't say that, I'd say it looks like it might be pretty cool in 2 or 3 revisions if the company is around that long. It's a neat idea not in its final form (and way expensive.)

too many concepts in one, but I do agree with the ambitiousness of it. Feels like an alternate dimension where Tiger Games was making these.

Obligatory plug for the 406V. Perfect size, power and form factor. Insane battery too. I have more powerful devices but this thing just wins for retro 4:3 anything.

Are there custom (preferably de-Googled) Android OSs for these things like there are Linux?
Sort of. You can run a custom front end or launcher that takes over the device and doesn't look or behave like android.
