Heh, I pulled out my basic Guts figure I've owned for my entire adult life last night. Definitely need to upgrade...
That's the old one from the late 90s, right? I have all of those in storage.

I will probably post a few pics of all the Figmas later.

I also ordered a 1/6 figure stand for Skull Knight. For years he was solid as a rock but the last six months he keeps jumping. Maybe he senses Void nearby.

I'd probably buy his horse if they made it in that scale.

Isn't that Mai statue gonna set you back a G?

I mean...you can't take it with you but fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuùuuuuuuuuuuuck
Indeed lol
The prices of licensed statues have absolutely sky rocketed in this hobby in recent years…but admittedly, so has the quality of the collectibles too (particularly at this scale).

You’re exactly right; when it comes to our side-hobbies, we can’t take any of this shyt with us so I might as well play my favorite games and view my favorite characters while I’m still able to do so lol

No judgement here. It's your money. Spend it how you want, sir.

Really hard to see the figures in those boxes. Unboxing video would be great.

I MIGHT do a 'open up and see them' series but I have no place to display them currently so even if I do that, it would be more of a 'look at them in their plastic mold housings' than anything elae.

That first edition of Berserker Armor Guts comes with volume 27 bundled in. As I understand it, it's quite 'teh rarez'.

I will also post an image of the cross stitch my wife did of the Volume 27 cover image. She did it for me back when I was recovering from my eye surgeries circa 2008-2009. 20,000 stitches and by FAR, my moat treasured Berserk related possession.

I think Miura probably would have greatly appreciated someone doing that. I wish I'd have thought to tag him on a photo of it.

Do any of you ever fuck with people trying to identify toys online? In many of the toy groups I belong to on FB, we do that all the time, especially on shit everyone should already know. We "compete" trying to come up with the funniest and stupidest answers we can. Like a guy posted a G.I.JOE Viper and Copperhead and I told him that he had the Road Trippin' Cobra Commander and Ninja Force General Grievous 2-pack. We don't do it to be mean, just for laughs, and several other people do give them the right answers.

My Berserk figures & statue. I still need to pick the threezero one & im still contemplating in picking up Griffith statue for Prime 1. I have no place to put the box. Its been like 2 years since i bought a statue but seem like its cheaper to import it from Japan than Sideshow.

Here's that cross stitch my wife did for me.

Like the boat ride, it actually took her 10 years to complete. Not lying.

Apologies for the glare. It's a pain in the ass to put back on the wall. It's a square foot in size, so pretty big.

Also, cooler than any Berserk toy or figure ever made and I'm certain Miura would have agreed.

Yowza, ten years, that's some serious dedication and love for you. I think two weeks is the longest I've ever spent on an art project.

I forgot I had this bad boy and found it recently:

The packaging being a Slim Jim box will never not make me happy

so her work rate was a lot better than Miura’s…
She hid the work from me the entire time she was doing it.

She just kept telling me 'you'll just have to wait.'

And then intermittently, life kept getting in the way and she'd just have to focus on other things. I'm sure she had to stop out of boredom from time to time too.

And then there was all that Idolmaster ...

...this cross stitch is really a metaphor for Kentaro Miura's career as much as it is an homage to Berserk, although that was by coincidence.

As for her love for me being the contributing factor to finishing, I think it's more her recognition of my own love for the series. For a decade I had no idea what this work was and then one day she just showed me the finished product.

We drove an hour and a half to find the right place to frame it. Michael's and Hobby Lobby just weren't going to cut it. That is a sturdy frame.

It is the pride of my entire Berserk related plunder. Nothing beats home cooking.

The top of the castle is too squashed/truncated (probably due to space/material limitations), but, otherwise, she did a fabulous job.
