My Berserk figures & statue. I still need to pick the threezero one & im still contemplating in picking up Griffith statue for Prime 1. I have no place to put the box. Its been like 2 years since i bought a statue but seem like its cheaper to import it from Japan than Sideshow.

Cool stuff! My only experience with Berserk is playing the DC game, which I never finished. Never watched the anime or read any of the manga.

Here's that cross stitch my wife did for me.

Like the boat ride, it actually took her 10 years to complete. Not lying.

Apologies for the glare. It's a pain in the ass to put back on the wall. It's a square foot in size, so pretty big.

Also, cooler than any Berserk toy or figure ever made and I'm certain Miura would have agreed.

Yowza, ten years, that's some serious dedication and love for you. I think two weeks is the longest I've ever spent on an art project.

The packaging being a Slim Jim box will never not make me happy

so her work rate was a lot better than Miura’s…
She hid the work from me the entire time she was doing it.

She just kept telling me 'you'll just have to wait.'

And then intermittently, life kept getting in the way and she'd just have to focus on other things. I'm sure she had to stop out of boredom from time to time too.

And then there was all that Idolmaster ...

...this cross stitch is really a metaphor for Kentaro Miura's career as much as it is an homage to Berserk, although that was by coincidence.

As for her love for me being the contributing factor to finishing, I think it's more her recognition of my own love for the series. For a decade I had no idea what this work was and then one day she just showed me the finished product.

We drove an hour and a half to find the right place to frame it. Michael's and Hobby Lobby just weren't going to cut it. That is a sturdy frame.

It is the pride of my entire Berserk related plunder. Nothing beats home cooking.

and while the wife was out, sylvie slipped in through the chimney, and lets just say that paper towel holder is going to really come in handy to clean up the wife's ruined half-shell

FedEx dropped off another 15 LEGO sets at noon (they were supposed to arrive on my birthday, yesterday, but, got delayed a day in transit--it's all right though, I just built my Ninjago Skull Sorcerer's Dragon set instead). Yeah...I may have overdone it this time. Two more kits en route yet too.

Last two sets from my most recent order arrived today, so, no more until I splurge again (I've already got several sets sitting in my virtual shopping cart waiting though). Probably going to get that new $100 Creator 3-in-1 Castle when it becomes available.

New sets that arrived in the mail today. I bought the LEGO Classic Large Creative Brick Box & Minecraft The "Abandoned" Mine sets (apparently not abandoned by spiders, zombies, and slimes though, hence LEGO's quotes, lol). The Mega Construx Top Gun Maverick Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet set was clearanced for ten bucks, and LEGO doesn't currently make military stuff, so, I snagged one for some variety, and Mattel's bricks are compatible with LEGO anyway.

The top of the castle is too squashed/truncated (probably due to space/material limitations), but, otherwise, she did a fabulous job.

That top gun jet is designed to go right up a fag's ass. They should complete the look by creating a Cocktail lego set.

Today's new arrivals.

IMG_20210615_184205106_33.jpg

I'm addition to the 4 LEGO kits (I needed a Grogu mini figure!), I decided to try a Mega Construx HALO Warthog set and the smaller $10 MAX Build More tub (I bought the bigger $20 tub last time). A LEGO Star Wars Tie Fighter is still on its' way from Walmart, later this week, and I ordered 5 more sets from LEGO.com before this Walmart order, but, all of those are still waiting to ship in shitty warehouse limbo.

I learned a valuable lesson today: simultaneously ordering a bunch of canned food along with several cardboard LEGO packages from Walmart isn't a very smart thing to do. A sensible company would pack them in separate boxes, but, of course, Walmart did not, and only used minimal padding inside of the boxes, so, both my Mandalorian and Friends LEGO boxes got damaged/squished by the shifting heavy cans during transit (I already built them both, to check if any of the bricks got broken, and, thankfully, they did not--I was particularly worried about the windmill blades in the Friends set). A big box of oatmeal packets got outright crushed by the cans too. Sigh.

Man I still don't dig that Minecraft Lego shit. I mean the shit is already a parody of legos. You can't do that. It makes it look like, even shittier, man
