Yeah. When it comes to arcade sticks, many people say that they are reliable. I actually have one for my PS and Genesis.

OOPSs. Made a mistake. Realized I said Genesis, I meant I had one stick for my PS and Neo-Geo

I have a MAS stick and all I can say is WOW...it's great. Mas gives you great control and responce along with a sleek design and nice cord. Built to last, built to be played with forever... Buy one

They are also huge. I was surprised when I got mine. It was unbelievable in that it took up the space in the whole box. It's awesome in that you know you are playing with the real thing and not just some wimpy, regular control pad.

They are worth $90 because they are not just like any other joysticks that you get at video game stores. They are well crafted, and custom made.

Yes their worth it, but you could make a much better stick (Custom for you) for much less. Around 50 bucks in parts.

I got two 8-button Super Pro. Sticks. For the parts & harbor, $90 is resonable. For the performance, it's not as good as the Old Style Neo Geo Joystick in my opinion.

One thing to mention about those two 8-buttons I got, the button layout is as the following:

1 2 3 4------X A B C--------------A B C D
---------As----------Instead of----------
5 6 7 8------X X X D--------------X X X X

And the "Select" button is for adding credit but not switching game.

Your choice.

Mas sticks are the real deal. Addressing your comments above...

All: in addtion to comments to b1 below, remember that these sticks may require some wiring and maintenance to either configure or upkeep. But an advantage is they are repairable, if the home sticks break then you're generally screwed.

Dark Lord SPAM and Neo Bomber man: $90 per stick is a lot, but how much are gold sticks going for if you buy them separately from the AES? $60? The buttons are good on either, but the stick on the Mas blows away the gold, it just rolls way better. I have a friend who likes CD/gold better because of the tighter radius, but I can't stand them.

theman: yes they are big, I've gotten used to using them as a lap control but it took me awhile

Caris: agreed. But unless you have experience doing this, I would recommend owning these sticks as an intermediate step.

b1: the 8-button sticks are great for the Neo, but mine were delivered with the same wiring as yours. Had to open, desolder, and reconnect, but that wasn't too hard. I now have 1234 working on the Neo Geo and 123567 working for CPS2 without having to rewire when swapping boards (had to wire 4 and 5 together). I highly recommend desoldering all of the wires from the buttons and using female disconnects instead, it will make your life much easier!

samuraiX: maybe they have a deal for 2? Otherwise I'd get one and check it out. The best deal is when you get the sticks with a Supernova, but that only makes sense if you want to go MVS instead of AES.

Neo ones? Never were, never will be.

I agree. Mas sticks have been overpriced for years IMO.
They dont last for ever.
I've bought two of the pieces a shit, both broke on me.
Their return service sucks, as does theor customer service.

Mas 0-2, & My original old style sticks still work perfectly.

& the sticks are not that great.
You can find people that will lovingly craft you a superior stick for a just little more $$$, and quality will be much better.
You just have to search high & low.

MasSticks are probably the best of the, mass produced multi system sticks you'll find.

I have quite a few MAS sticks. Yes they are worth it. Sturdy and heavy. I have like 4 sticks plus the two sticks that go with the MAS Supernova for a total of 6. Too bad though about what happened to the couple that was making them.

This is a old thread but I will state the obvious.

They are good sticks and built like tanks but I wouldn't spend the money they are going for now in days. You could get something custom with a brook universal installed with quality Japanese parts for about the same. They are a nostalgic trip though. If you want to relive the old days of playing on U.S cabinets with happ buttons and sticks, I would try and hunt one down for under $100. I wouldn't swap out the happ controls on these for Japanese. Kind of defeats the purpose of owning a Mas Stick.
