Hopefully this hasn't been posted before, I don't know if it's legit as 68k assembly is way over my head:

If it's real... well, it's pretty interesting, I wonder if anyone has a 68k cross-compile environment available on their machine to try and compile this and see what comes up.

Couldn't find any more info around so far, here's the source:

Now if only someone could track down the code to AOF2 and make it so the AI doesn't input read you to death...
You'd like to take away the badassness of winning in the game? Disappointing.

Theoretically, with the source code of AOF, could the game be edited to have less strict move inputs like later neo fighters? That would be welcome in my book.

I didn't catch this, so even though it's an old share like Alec pointed out, thanks for bringing it back to light.

Sure, you just need to find someone who has a very good knowledge in 68k assembly.
With the source code you can do all kind of modifications, you could also add new characters, moves, stages, etc.

I'd just like it to not be grossly unfair, not super cheap with perfect counters for any input read. AOF 2 at level 1 plays harder than KOF 97 on level 8.

That's amazing if true. Would love to see people use it as a basis for new homebrew neo geo fighting games.
