Yeah, I've been really wanting to do a scoring thread with this game for a while. I love this game, I'm just not that good at it. :p Though now I'll have an excuse to practice some! :D

Decided to take a break on what I was working on to play a couple runs. All I have to say is this game is tough! It's going to take a helluva lot more practice to get near some of the top scores I see on the online rankings.

Beelzebub - 62,700 - Stage 3 - PS3

Spoiler:

EDIT: Got a bit better run. Also got quite a bit further into Stage three, and it's quite the sprawling level. I ended up losing my last life because the time ran out while I was exploring.

Beelzebub - 79,900 - Stage 3 - PS3

I suppose I can do that... Even on normal, this game is pretty damn hard. At least going through Casual Mode will allow people to memorize the level layouts a bit easier.

EDIT: Lol, yeah maybe not. It's nearly impossible to get a Game Over on Casual Mode, they start you off with ten lives for fuck's sake! I'm already max power, and just got to Stage 6. :lolz:

EDIT2: Did a couple more Normal runs, and finally made it to Stage 4.

Open up the first treasure chest you find, and it becomes perfectly clear what kind of game this is. :lolz:

Got another run in tonight before crashing. I would've fared better if I would've been able to power up my weapon once more before the Stage 5 boss.

Magic Sword is one of my favs as well. Might be a good idea for a future score thread.

Roommate is hogging the console for netflix today. Off to mame!

Pretty sure I've got all of the maneating plant and falling boulder locations memorized on the first two levels now. The third stage is definitely huge and interesting. I think it loops if you keep going sideways without going up.

Looking good gaiz! I'll give it a shot today sometime, also Mars Matrix and of course a good NTM run but I can't forget I'm in the middle of a NGPC NTM dump run, USA -10 hole 9 Brit, eagle chip in, looking good so far, hopefully I won't meltdown during my next dumps...

I just picked this board up a few weeks ago so I figured I'd give it a go. I actually used to play this game at my town's public pool when I was 7. I don't think I ever got past the first level before today.

I gave it a few more tries and got super lucky. It gets rough quick up on those later levels :crying:

Nice score FLTCHRR! Looks like I need to do some more practicing! :D

We have a few people posting, but I want to see more! Don't forget that it's also the free game, that comes with the free download of Capcom Arcade Cabinet for 360/PS3! So lets see those scores! :vik:

I know this already ended, but I was too proud of myself not to post it :glee:

So I finally decided to give it another shot and somehow managed to pull off a 1CC.
