Reboot- New meta sitcom on Hulu about rebooting a 20 year old piece of shit sitcom and the clashes behind the scenes. Interesting cast with Judy Greer, Kegan Michael Keye, Johnny Knoxville, Paul Rieser and Kerri Kenny. It's on par with other stuff like Modern Family and Schitt's Creek but this is a bit more raunchy, so still pretty crappy. On the plus side you get to see Judy Greer's tits in the first 5 minutes.

can't tell if serious.....

She-Hulk was admittedly very weak compared to stuff like Loki or the last bit of Wandavision. I cant even say it was a slow-burn, because it was definitely more lighthearted than even Ms Marvel was.

But I can agree the finale of the She-Hulk show was pretty great and very very meta. Marvel makes fun of themselves and K.E.V.I.N. Fiege as well lol.

Also I may be in the minority but I really loved Daredevil's yellow and red suit that harkens back to his OG outfit. The show as kinda weak, but seeing the awesome Charlie Cox back as DD was really cool.

I'm sure it was hi-larious :thevt:

They can make fun of themselves all they want doesn't change the fact that the MCU is a shit show. In fact it's actually worse because they seem to be aware of it and don't give 2 fucks.

Wandavision is fucking trash.

Loki is super overrated.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier is trash. I like the Isaiah character but the villain was horrible and the ending was horrible.

Moon Knight is trash.

Ms Marvel is kinda fun sometimes but mostly trash.

She-Hulk understands it stakes. It's just a dumb sitcom, it knows that, and it stays in its lane. The rest of the shows were either way too ambitious or just stupid and boring.

Did you need a scale to measure all that jade? It could be worth a mint.

The Watcher- A mystery thriller limited series on Netflix. Wine Mom garbage, rich white people mystery porn to it's fullest. Based on a true story, which is that an actual family moved into a nice house in a fancy old suburb and received a bunch of creepy letters over several years claiming to be from someone watching them and urging them to kill their children as some sort of sacrifice to the house. The family became paranoid of their neighbors and eventually moved out. That's it.

This series uses that for about 10% of it's plot and adds all kinds of other dumb shit that's far too stupid to bother getting into. Suffice to say It feels like one of those books that white women read on vacation full of weird, lurid suburban paranoia. I watched this because I think Bobby Canaille is a solid actor but man is it idiotic and trashy. Checked out after 3 episodes, even just a something on in the background it was making me roll my eyes ever couple minutes.

Ya it’s absolute trash and the finale doesn’t give any closure. it was disappointing all the way around.

was it because of the azn?

Nah, it just felt cheap. Like it was made by people who made a sitcom. Also it seems like the main dude is gonna try to have a catchphrase like Sam's "oh boy." And I think it's gonna be "oh shi-" and then gets cut off.

It just felt super lame.

Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities- A new horror anthology series on Netflix. First two episodes are up and they're damn good, very Tales from the Crypt with lots of dark humor and some great casting. Also very Lovecraft, Eldridge Horror in the visuals and monster design, some of it is beyond the typical Lovecarftian fare and looks ripped straight out of Bloodborne. Even though each episode is made by different people so far it has a very cohesive and definitively Del Toro feel. Definitely looking forward the rest, which they're releasing 2 per day a total of 8.

Edit: Also I read earlier today that Amazon shit canned the Rings of Power showrunners and are going to "re-tool" the series, gee imagine that lol.

I heard a review of the show on NPR that was pretty positive. Glad to hear that seems to be the case. Apparently many of the episodes are based on del Toro short stories.

I like the show much more than I expected to, I think it's mainly due to the very much r-ratedness like you mentioned.

That shot of Judy Greer was... strange. Not much point to it, but I'm not complaining.

The Patient had a pretty good ending. Not what I would have expected, but oddly redemptive and quite satisfying.

Something about the show has been driving me crazy for a few days and I just couldn't put my finger on what it was. It's that the main character looks exactly like a slightly heavier Penny Pax.

The Curious Case of Carlos Ghoson- Feature length documentary on the former CEO of Renault and Nissan, his rise to power and his bizarre arrest in Japan for embezzling millions of dollars and becoming an international fugitive. Recommended, it's on Netflix.
