Best Visual Experience Neo Turf Masters?

My favorite game ever, I have been researching the best visual experience to play Turf Masters. Below are a few questions.

Is an AES Console with RGB output to a Sony PVM monitor the best? If not, what is?

If it is, what in your opinion is the best screen size? I believe 32 inches is considered the biggest but does that bring down the quality at that size?

Does anyone know if the quality of graphics is the same for AES and CD for Turf Maters? Aesthetically I want the cartridge but the CD version has the Scotland course that I have never played. Wanted your opinion on if you believe the visual graphics change at all between the systems.

I don't have any of the equipment mentioned, so any buying tips is appreciated as well. Seeing different AES / CD console versions and bios and just want the best visual experience for this game.

Thank you!

The graphics are the same on the CD version. CD systems have great RGB output quality, but in my experience the frontloaders have more analog noise in the picture.

For cartridge systems, you'll just want to check if your AES revision needs an RGB bypass mod (generally all except the first board revision need an RGB bypass).

Thanks, I appreciate the input. Didn't know if CD version was revised to help load times.

Kind of going back and forth between getting aes or cd .... what are your thoughts on the custom console mvs units out there? Any difference at all visually?

Any advice on picking best pam monitors for this experience?

An AES or CMVS will both be fine. I would get that. Just don't expect to get a real AES cartridge unless you're willing to pay a lot.

I forgot, does anyone know if the CD version of Neo Turfmasters is playable on the NeoSD Pro?

This would be good to know on NeoSD Pro. I really don't want to get a CD ... I am leaning on a AES or MVS console right now.

I'm also in the market for a legit AES Neo Turf Masters but why are some on eBay $500.00 ... I assume real? Then some are $8,000 and one is $19,000 and is the "holy grail"

I could see me collecting one and getting NeoSD Pro to play Scotland course.

No legit Turd Masters is going for $500. You can maybe get a legit CD version for that, but not AES.

You can maybe get a AES conversion made with fake chips or in some cases MVS chips for the $300 price range. I have a copy like this myself, it does the job.

Thanks for educating me. Looking now did not realize that was a conversion game listed.

WHAT!!?? Original homecart and professionally calibrated PVM or forget it.
Show me the way 🙇‍♂️

I play the app version on an oled tv right now and it just looks so bad which is what brought me to this point. I want to get back to the deal, OG way.

Given the AES TM cartridge is 10k+ ... I may now go OG way CD to keep everything original. And I get Scotland course no mods. but .... I really wanted a cartridge I hate having the idea of a cd and scratching it.

Let me answer my own concern for Neo Geo CD disc with learning what CD SD Loader is!

Getting closer to the final decision ..... Neo Geo CD SD Loader -> RGB -> Sony PVM

If there is a better way I am here to learn.

It's included in the bundle so very likely, yes. I've never actually tried it.

Controversial I know but…

… the Switch port plays fine on a modern TV and is all 99% of people need.

It’s also only called Big Tournament Golf, fuck that

edit or at least I thought it was, but it’s NTM on Nintendo’s site. that’s good
