I've sent you piles of PMs about the art owed for the trade we did, what? a year ago??

You're logging in but not replying... I need to be kept in the loop, been patient, what's going on?

not sure, they are in my sent folder and his inbox doesn't seem full... hoping that this post will start some communication so we can move on.

Look at the icon of the message in your sent folder. If its a closed envelope it means he has read the message and is avoiding you. If its an open envelope its an unread message. (Backwards, I know.)

ahh, all read it would seem.

Last time we talked he expressed remorse about how long it was taking, the guy is busy and I am in no rush, still am not, this was part of our arrangement and expectation.... but I do want to be kept in the loop.

Totally incorrect.

All icons on sent messages have a closed envelope. There is no open envelope on messages in the sent folder.

The ONLY way to know for sure, is to check mark "Request a read receipt for this message" on your PM's that you send to him and then look under Track Messages (in your Inbox) for the read receipt once he opens it and confirms the receipt.

However whenever he opens the PM, there will be a pop up box saying "So and so has requested a read receipt - Confirm?"

If he doesn't press "OK" and instead presses cancel, there won't be an entry in the read receipts. Hence no way to know for sure.

a mod can tell you if he's read them. pm sir rot or the fuckstick mod I guess and kindly request that info.

I'm guessing we're talking about art he stole from other forums, slapped his watermark on, and re-sold prints of @ 100% profit margin :keke:

Ahh well that sucks.

I hope you can substantiate that, unless you want to tango. I've seen identical offerings (ie the SF4) of both Spectre on AO (who I assume you're talking about) and Bigtimes. BT's was a tad sharper not to mention the medium he prints these things on are totally different.

I agree, I have a few of his marquees and cabinet arts and they're top tier, both in picture as well as printing quality. He's been a busy guy and isn't the type of person to "take the money and run". Lemme see if I can chase him down..

Teddy, I wouldn't call out people for fun. http://www.gamoover.net/Forums/index.php?topic=22640.0 , you might recognize these , minus the watermark. plus my own ikaruga blast/naomi marquee I posted on here years ago. I didn't mind him profiting from my work without asking, but putting his BIGTIME watermark on it... yeah that rubbed me the wrong way.

Sorry Scott I didn't mean to hijack your thread. Guess I got up the wrong foot this morning.

When you're back on the the correct foot, the realization will be that all of this art is "stolen" by the enthusiasts. Rearrangement, p-shops, touch-ups etc. etc., sure it's work, but it doesn't really make it your own. Probably the wrong thread to post this in (which you acknowledged, rad) but if there is a legitimate gripe, it's not like he continues to churn these out for mad profit. He did a couple runs more than a year ago and is done for the most part.

I'll just point out one additional point then will let scgon have his thread back (sorry dude), I approached BT to do the Lifeforce marquee for me, which was Shadow's work. He wouldn't do it as he printed it as a 1-off special that was provided by Shadow... he would only do it for me if I got Shadow's blessing, which I got. But yeah, he is conscientious about using other people's work.

Last year he took a very long time to send me some naomi RAM.... However, there was never a lack of communication and eventually I got it. FWIW - I think you are taking the right approach to open discussion while not getting too worried about it.

Even us locals have not had too much communication with the BIGTIME lately. I would chalk that up to the fact that he just started a new job after finishing his degree. If I cross paths with him, I will relay the message. I don't think anyone is worried here, since BIGTIME always holds up his end of the agreement.

I'll likewise confirm what the above locals are saying about BT. He's a busy dude with a new job but he is 100% honest and always holds up his end of the deal.

Scott, I sent you a PM. If BIGTIME owes anyone any art that they have PAID for, I can refund them myself (if they want a refund).
The locals know BIGTIME and we all know what type of person he is. He won't rip you off. Yes, his communication is bad sometimes, but we all get busy with life.

Too kind! But no, it's all good, not looking for cash or anything. Honestly, I'm just looking for a response and ideally an ETA, even just "gonna be 6 months" would be great, and in 6 months get a pm with a new ETA, I'm not in a rush.

My concern is that I noticed he was regularly logging in, but I never got a reply. In a week I sent him like 3 pms and despite logging in daily..... No reply.

He and I are good otherwise, I consider him a friend and a good guy to work with. I knew there would be delays and he's busy, no problem there.

Ideally he'll see this thread and find a sec to drop me a line, then it's mission accomplished. : )
