Anyone else ever have a DC modem die on them? I was playing Bomberman Online, all the sudden the screen went black, and I couldn't reset the system, so I powered down and tried to get back online, and it says "line is busy" "check your connection" (my line isn't busy, and it's not my ISP cause I tryed logging on my laptop with it) everytime. It does this on any game, any browser, I also tried to modem on my japanese dc, same deal.

Was my modem fried? Anyway to get Sega to replace this?

i guess sega didn't take into account how hot broadband modems get, cause the little thing is tiny.

sorry.

My system is OK, the modem seems to be fried, as I tried it on 2 different DCs. It's a 56k modem, I don't have the DC broadband adaptor <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> I have DSL as well as Dial up.

Bomberman Online does not support BBA by the way. There may be a trick, but no ones found it yet. (I consider the BBA useless anyways, 56k is more than enough, the BBA definetly is not worth the 150+ price tag people want for it on eBay).

I'm pretty sure that ncsx.com has some US DC modems for sale along with some other stuff in case any of you have a DC fail on you.

It pulls this shit in WWP all the time too.

Either connect until you get online, or if you keep trying 5X, just reboot the game and reconnect.

fuck this shit man.
I received this game in the mail today too, and the exact same thing happens to me.

I played it once online earlier today(12:30pm cst), but got booted. Everytime after this happens the situation mooky described results. The game disconnects, and goes to the screen with the DC controller and memory card screen ?!

I'll try logging on later tonite. Maybe it's a server thing. If that fails, I'll call up Sega.

Their probably working on getting everything in place for when they start charging for online play, which was supposed to be since day one, they've been behind, that's why the games been free for a week or so.

Yep, they're getting it set up.

I can connect to the browser just fine, and WWP seems to work.

Alien Front Online still doesn't "respond to the modem", so that's nothing new.
