Okay, we're confirming the NeoCD version - it's completed, working great, and super cool. More on this when it is actually going to production.

In the meantime you can try out the Megadrive / Genesis port of Captain Barrel, as it's completed too and we got a public demo:

It features half of the first Level (1-1 to 1-3 + Level boss), the optional Bonus Stage (if you manage to collect the treasure map), and the first stage of the second Level (2-1).
Please note that this demo is a truncated version of the full game, and it is meant for you to try out and enjoy; its purpose is not to support a crowdfunding campaign, or show you what the game might look like if we completed the development - it IS completed already.

I'll definitely pick up a CD copy. Thanks for giving it a shot. I hope that it's a successful endeavor for your team and spurs more development for it going forward.

I have to say just because something can get a neo release doesnt mean it should. I applaud is being something different and genre the neo doesnt have much of but the graphics do nothing to push or even meet the average new game. If there gonna be some silly $350 aes or mvs is needs to merit it.

I think a sd rom release is perfect for the game. Still looks fun.

Hey,

Big news for us today as we're opening the pre-orders for the MD/Genny port - and RGB Mike just posted a timely review of the demo

All versions (including the Neo CD and Dreamcast disc releases) should ship in October or November, starting with the AES/MVS carts. :)

Now THAT could be a version for me!

EDIT: I just pre-ordered Captain Barrel for Mega Drive and actually wanted to also add Cyborg Force for DC (as that seems reasonable priced) but oh man the shipping really kills it. Captain Barrel alone is 15 Euro which is reasonable in Europe BUT if you add the DC game, which is basically a CD case, you pay 28 Euro for a large packet?? Think that shop needs some overhaul as you will lose international customers like this. I'm pretty sure adding a CD to the MD game won't change shipping that much, is it? @Johnny16Bit

NeoCD and Dreamcast will then be up for sale (discs are made already, no preorder on those). Someone recommended that we should advertise them as pressed.

We'll begin shipping the cart editions tomorrow :)
We'll start with the Megadrive version as we are still receiving/assembling the Neo games, so if you ordered, watch your mailboxes for the shipping notifications :)
The NeoCD and Dreamcast versions are ready; they will be up for sale from our website in the next few days, and shipping later this month.

Got my copy, this is one impressive little addictive game, thank you! Love to PRESS FART, very well engineered, akin to NITD gameplay which I'm all about. BIG KUDOS

The Neo Geo doesn’t have many platformers, so this is welcome news. It looks fun from the trailer in the opening post.

Will the AES version ever be restocked?

Yes, we have ordered another small batch of carts already, and we should be sending some to Stone Age Gamer :)
