Converted pheonix cps2 trouble,

So in December My wife and son bought me a pheonix d&d shadow of mystara board from Brazil (via eBay) the board was fine till last night I went to play it and about 2-3 minutes into it I got a cps2 shock error, I shut it off and turned it back on and got a "Ram error" I shut down the cab, pulled the board out, opened the b board pressed All of the roms in thinking maybe 1 was loose (had that issue with My golden Axe roda) and again it worked for a few minutes before I got the CPS shock error, I booted it 1 more Time accessed the pheonix menu and selected the English option ( which was what this board was sold as) and it seems okay, but my concern is,
Is there a chance this board is going bad?
Or is it I'm missing a simple fix?

Changing regions can lead to crashes with some phoenixed games. I'm going to say that this is the 'problem', but then again you mention ram errors.. Hmm. Leave it to english and see if it happens again
