Took the flight case from my NEC XP29 plus and repurposed it.
Decided to try something.
I took this giant XBR36200 and put it tate on this flight case. It actually fit in it pretty good and I can wheel this fucking behemoth around.

Made a custom cable to use the sharp tri sync x68000 monitor with my FM towns tower.
Works well!
I found a monitor last week on eBay for $250
I couldn’t pass it up, because I wanted to complete the computer.
I’ll post pictures of that monitor when I get it.

Got this 5" PVM 5041Q for cheap as it was untested. Needed a recap but these models should always get new capacitors. Too small to play much on but it's handy tucked on the workbench for testing equipment.

Here’s the current set up. I got rid of the bigger NEC monitor since space is limited. The tate set is mostly for 360 and Saturn STGs. But yea, the BVMs have been running strong for about a decade. I’m sure they will need a recap sooner than later. I also enjoy fake CRTs 😂.

I'm most impressed you found furniture with the perfect height and depth for fitting two BVMs

I got this 2530 off market place from a "crt reseller".
I paid $150 bucks for it, " I couldn't get it to work is what he said "
I checked the tube, and there was no burn in, I figured it's good for parts at least.

This kid is a trainwreck always buying shit he has no idea how to repair or fix.
This is the forth PVM / BVM I've gotten from him cheap because he basically butchers shit, and I have to figure out what the fuck he did, reverse it and actually repair it. It's usually easy to see what he does because he can't solder well.

Well this one, had a rolling green which originally I thought to be maybe a sync issue.

The deflection board was butchered lmao.

After cleaning up the deflection board.
It came back to life, but I still have some rolling green...

I reflowed the neckboard, adjusted the cutoffs, focus, and the monitor started looking better and better. LOL I found a cart of Bimini Run and was adjusted the Geometry the best I could with that game. It looked pretty good. I grabbed my MiSTer just to get a test pattern and I was surprised how well I got it without adjusting with a test pattern. I'll play with it more in the next few days, but I'm pretty happy with the geo as it is.

Actually surprised at how decent it was.

I still need to calibrate this tube, but I'm happy this monitor came back to life.

Wow, that's quite an amount of effort. I'm truly amazed what some of you guys are able to do.
