Hi, when I Turn on my Cabinet, the Picture flickers for a few minutes when it warmes up. The picture looks fine when the Tube is warm. When Im right it is a Wells Gradener K4900 25“
A Cap kit was installed 2 years ago.
My fear is, it might be the beginning of the end for the tube.
Maybe someone knows this issue.
Thanks and Greetings.

Ill let someone more knowledgeable weigh in, but that doesnt sound like the tube dying to me. Tubes become dim or a color gun will permanently short, i dont think this is related.

It sounds like a bad cap to me.... You sure high temp caps were used on the recap?

Yep, the fact that it has to warm up to get better points out a cap issue in my experience. Change the horizontal transistor while you're at it.

Or a dry joint, most of my CRT chassis fixes have been reflowing solder joints on the pcb, look for any grey joints or any that have a crack or gap around the component where it comes through the pcb.
