Throw your kids' Fortnite boxes in the bin and make them play games in your arcade. :hammer:
I like how you added comics, do you think you'll decorate any of the other wallspace with art or shelves to display retro 80s/90s crap?

Heheh thanks I should do that! Darn whippersnappers!

Have more comics to display, but need to get more toploaders first. I’ve since rearranged the games and now have all (41) cabs in the garage now.

Will be adding these original posters for additional decor at some point in the future. Wanted an Al Bundy poster but can’t find a nice one.

Added some original posters to complement Burgertime…

And Warlords 4p cocktail. Candy can stools are the perfect height for this game.

Looks really cool, amazing collection. I like all those 80s atari cabs and everything seems to be in amazing condition. I have to imagine this would cost tens of thousands to acquire this kind of collection in 2022.

Thank you. Here’s another from the Atari section: Marble Madness.

Yes was fortunate classic games cost a bit less back when most of them were acquired. Wasn’t uncommon to find cheap complete games. In some cases less than a Neo Geo home cart.

The catch was a game often would need work, but every once in awhile would get lucky and score a game in super nice shape, especially if willing to ship.

Otherwise a game may involve restoration which is costly and takes time.

It’s all relative though. Candy cabs for example have increased significantly in value also. I wouldn’t have the means to collect all these again if had to start over at current pricing + it’s a lot harder to find NOS parts and cabinet art.

I like them all, but that super sprint is a really cool cab with it's wide dimensions, three steering wheels and color scheme. You know it's going to be fun and unique just by looking at it. Reminds me of this predecessor I saw on eBay recently. You don't see this cab every day. https://www.ebay.com/itm/234556839654?hash=item369cad56e6:g:4KAAAOSwna9ihGGt
Sadly, a couple games will be leaving the garcade this week. Super Sprint and Shinobi. Am at the maximum space limit and something had to go to make room for (2) incoming games:
  • Elevator Action
  • Star Trek Captain’s Chair
Have a feeling will end up regretting letting Super Sprint go. It’s in great shape.

Ah too bad, that Super Sprint cab really seems like something special... I wonder if there are more Atari cabs in California compared to other places in the US since Atari itself was based in California.

Super Sprint is a fun title, but need people to play with and having it in a home setting with unlimited credits removes the urgency it had for me when played it back in its heyday, lol.

Yes SoCal is one of the best places for cabs. There were tons here in the 80’s.

If I ever win the Euromillion lottery I'll show this thread to my hot 20ish female assistant so she gets me exactly this kind of shit. Top notch.

My buddy Paul playing Berzerk running the JROK Berzerk/Frenzy multikit. He is the WR holder in Frenzy.

Need to search for some mini marquees one of these days.

My favorite game Bustamove/Puzzle Bobble. Linked for versus play. We have some high level slugfests whenever I host a game night. If there are any Puzzle Bobble contenders in SoCal that want to test their skill and have fun lmk :)

Thank you. Really appreciate the kind words. The video is abit outdated now so will try to find time to make another one of these days.

Here is the most recent addition: Pigskin 621AD

I used to host Neo Geo meets and have tried to get them going again. But sadly, the SoCal scene appears to have died. No one ever responds any more. Which is a shame sigh.

So much great stuff but the crown jewel has got to be that After Burner. Seeing it up and running in 2022 just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Take good care of it!

Thank you sir, yes I agree. Both that and Spy Hunter Sitdown are showstoppers.

Recently received a sizable offer for Afterburner (15k) but declined for the very reason you stated.

Has a ton of NOS parts including the monitor plexi which I’d never be able to source again.

If any of you ever find yourselves in SoCal please hit me up. Would love to have you come over and play some games :)
