These are underway now in the UK:

'We had people come just to see it': Amazon delivers its first UK parcels by drone

The unmanned aircraft can drop off 100 parcels a day within a 12km radius of Amazon's hub.

I see they're a bit more established in the US. Anyone had one? Are they whizzing around all over the place all day everyday?

I feel like the noise could start to get irritating, but I'd still fuck around with it for the novelty at least.

If it's more accurate deliveries than the Amazon drivers, I'm all for it.
My drivers have about a 90% success rate because they deliver based on their GPS and not reading addresses. that doesnt work in city housing.
