Ugh... I hope that's not the case, I really do. I don't mind so much that it's been pushed back to next year, but I'll be a little disappointed if it slips further. I don't think it took Technosoft 5 years to develop Thunder Force IV, so not sure why Earthion is dragging on so long.

Well folks, buy the Steam version, and then do as you will. I just bought it, and still plan to preorder the cart whenever that happens. This one is worthy of a double dip from me. I would never play this without paying first -- I respect the man too much. He even once gave our Youtube channel a shout out on Twitter.
Obviously this digital release is a beta for what will end up on the final carts.

Ironically the obvious reason there's no paid rom release is piracy.
Too bad they had to end up releasing this as an emulator. This route would seem to make piracy inevitable.
