Ebay buyer concerns.

So, for the first time in 7 years I decide to list and sell something on Ebay yesterday.

Before I listed the item, I tried to find a way to block 0 feedback buyers. I guess you can't do that anymore...ok.

So, I put a Buy it Now with Best Offer on the item. The Buy It Now is marked $125, a bit more than average of past sold ones.

Well, this morning I get a message that my item was sold for the $125 BIN price. Buyer has 0 feedback, registered Sept 9 2014. He's already sent money through Paypal. His Paypal has a Confirmed address but is an Unverified account.

Should I have any concerns? Any suggestions?

yeah, you should have concerns. But he has paid for the item.
Get that shit insured and signature verification is about the best you can do.

You could back out, and risk a negative.

Probably nothing to worry about. Follow eBay/Paypal policies and you should be fine.

I was already going to have it insured with tracking.
Signature verification sounds good as well.
Best to pay the extra $3 for that, ship it and call it a day.
Thanks for the replies.

If the item is only worth $125 then don't waste your $ on signature verification, it will offer you no additional protection in the eyes of paypal.

Tracked & insured is all you should do.

If the guys account turns out to be bogus then there is seller protection & even if a loophole is exploited paypal has a non-publicized policy to re-inburse sellers. I have been re-imbursed twice so far for upwards of $300.

Hope that helps.

That's why I sell here every so often. Pass the eFees as a discount to the buyer here. Shit can always happen but I trust a regular here way more than a random eBayer.

When it comes to gaming stuff, I've mainly sold on the forum marketplace.
This item I put on eBay wasn't something that would fit with the usual items for sale.
I'm not going to make it a habit selling on eBay.

Ship it priority - tracking and insurance is already included. I can't believe some people still pay $0.80 for tracking. Paypal shipping, stamps.com, yada yada.

Everyone has to start w/0 feedback. Prove it's delivered (ie, with the tracking you'll get when you print your label directly on ebay) and you're fine.

Every week ebay sends me some sort of deal to list stuff for sale.

It's $125... Is that amount of money worth all this worry?

I get a lot of 0 feed back buyers. I've not had any issues with them as of yet. I really wouldn't worry too much about it. Just make sure it has tracking and that its uploaded to the shipping info if you didn't ship through ebay/paypal.
