I did a quick search for a Steam sales thread (I thought there was one, maybe it didn't show up). Anyway, this ridiculous Steam sale has you getting the complete Alan Wake franchise for 4 fucking dollars. If you haven't had a chance to play this game, now is the perfect time.

Also, who else is on Steam? What's your handle? Add me -- wespaul

i've been leaning towards playing more PC stuff

i got a decent rig but it could use some buffing

and with all the silliness on this next console generation it's looking like the perfect time to get into Steam a bit more seriously

edit: that is a good deal; i played it on the 360 and had a lot of fun

My name on Steam is NAP20XX but I don't do a lot on there. Add me if you'd like though.

For some reason, it's not letting me add you, genji

But yeah, I loved the game on the 360. I actually just bought the series because I wanted American Nightmare, which I haven't played, yet. That, and $4 for everything is just an insane deal. I'll probably go through the regular game again. I really liked the story. Hopefully the graphics got a nice little boost, but even the original graphics were really good, imo.

I liked the original, never played the sequel. Thanks for the heads up on the deal.

Thanks for pointing this out! Bought and downloading right now (along with F.E.A.R., which I am long overdue to play).

Thanks for the heads up, Wes.

I have no friends on Steam, but if you want to add me, it's Redfield70.

I'll try to add you when I get home. I might have the name wrong.

I don't know what's wrong. I just tried to add Taiso and it couldn't find him, either. I just loaded up a bit of Alan Wake, and it's as awesome as I remember it. Takes a bit of getting used to when controlling with a mouse and keyboard (especially dodging), but it's still a ton of fun.

Alan Wake is one of my favorite games of this generation. Maybe my favorite 360 "exclusive"...which says alot because i personally liked the Gears of War games alot.

AW is the perfect example of a game built on a cool concept that is executed really well. My wife isn't into games at all, but even she dug the whole flashlight aspect and would sit and watch me play. I picked up American Nighmare on xbla when it was on sale awhile back, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet. Need to get to that ASAP.

Wes:

My Steam handle is Redfield70, not Taiso. If you're trying to add me, try that.

EDIT:

I'll try adding you.

EDIT#2:

Okay, figured it out. I am a noob.

NOW if anyone else wants to add me, it's Redfield70.

I really like the the lore in the book that came with the original CE on XB360. It was haunting, set things up perfectly, and really added an authenticity to the nightmare that most games lack.

I copied and pasted Redfield70 and nothing showed up. I'll try again, though.

EDIT - Nevermind, saw your request

The PC version of Alan Wake is excellent.

I always find myself coming back to arcade mode in American Nightmare. Good stuff.

Totally off topic.
Taiso, I've been meaning to ask you: are you the same Taiso that was a mod at Gaming FM?

Got Alan Wake for free as part of a package deal and ignored it at first, then gave it a try and actually liked it. Nice atmosphere, although I found some spots a bit drawn out story-wise. $4 for the whole package is a killer deal, though.
