I actually am beginning to believe that Silicon Knights could be involved with a new Zelda project in addition to both Too Human and an Eternal Darkness sequel. If this is all true, it's going to have its hands busy for a great while.

usually I write off rumors, but Matt seems to know the head guy at Silicon Knights pretty good.

I'd fall on the floor and have an oragasm if they confirmed a sequel to one of my favorite games of all time: Eternal Darkness.

And if they have a hand in Zelda, I'm sure it'll be sick, twisted and dark

there is a new cel shaded zelda coming out. But there is a deep rumor that there will be an all "teen" zelda.... or... the more grown up Zelda from OOT ( a whole quest with him).

I think they are thinking more on the next platform as the cel shaded Zelda is getting a sequel set for release sometime in 2004/2005

It just wouldn't make sense to make a mature Zelda for the GameCube at this point in the GC's life

I guess I figured it is implied

I mean, can you see SK doing a fluffy cute game? SK are more about making mature games. Their track record speaks for itself. I think I heard they made Metal Gear bloodier.

I know that part of the reason Link was in SC2 was because of fan outcries, perhaps they letting SK work on some elements of the game (i.e. Ganon and dungeons)

edit: I did say maybe, besides this is all rumor at this point

Some people speak as if it is owed to them by Nintendo. Wind Waker looked really cool. N64 Zelda looked like total shit. Yet, people think that it's look was cooler. Showing that Space World 2000 Demo of Zelda was the worst thing Nintendo could have done. Now they have all their mid-twenties fanboys begging for a game that never existed.

I hope Nintendo just makes the game toonier and toonier. Please. Actually, I don't care, as long as I get my dungeons, you can do whatever you want.

Silicon Knights will hopefully get their act together and make ED 2 something that's actually fun to play.

but I think the stronger points of the game are it's attention to detail and the story

I don't think the game was supposed to make you jump out of your seat, but instead tell a good story, and that's what they exceled in

The gameplay is a little simple and the magic could use some work. I won't deny that. Also, the enemies seemed a bit repetitive, yet I found the boss fights to be a lot of fun. So what if the gameplay is basic, at least it doesn't hamper you like RE does.

Little things like idle animations, weapon descriptions, insanity effects, the art in the game, animation, story influences (big time on HP Lovecraft and some Poe thrown in), voice work (Dr. Rovias being the best IMO), and atmosphere

I mean if you expected a RE type horror game, then you'll definately come out disappointed, but if you want a game that will immerse you into a world, then this game is tops.
