Hooray for emulation I guess. I wonder if there's any demand at all now for this. SNKP deemed it not worthy of release back in the day.

If I were an arcade operator that wanted this I might just use the bootleg MVS cart instead. I suppose that wouldn't fly in a major Japanese arcade though.

Very cool. A friend of mine is in Osaka right now, actually. I'm asking him to go check it out. If he can make it over there, I'll get some pictures. Let's see what happens.

Same guy who promised Daraku Tenshi 3 years ago, along with Kenju 5 years ago on his overpriced hardware? No thanks.

More like exPAT-Arrogancia... E. Chung is a carrot-dangling liar, social media charlatan, & shameless opportunist/proto hoarder within the hobbyist scene, going back nearly two decades now.

So one thing I’ve been trying to figure out is what the special “exa” thing is for this version of the game. For example, the exa ports of dodonpachi and crimson katana had special exa game modes which are a relatively significant additions that make shelling out $2k slightly less retarded.

For this though, all I’ve seen are: borders with some new art, built in button select so you can map heavy to a single button (arguably to the detriment of the game), and low input lag which in my opinion is a necessity not a new feature.

Has anyone seen or heard of any major new features or modes?

This game has never been officially released in arcades. It doesn’t really need new features.

SSV, SSV Special, SSV Perfect, SSV Special CE - this feels like a gag at this point. 🙄

Sounds like y’all two dudes need to have a sit-down w/ Shou, lol.

Snow-plow levels of salt up in here.

I’m just happy to see a viable modern arcade platform gain traction. You know who needs the extra salt? The SkyCurser people…they shipped a game that wasn’t even finished-and *still* ain’t finished.

It's not even a very good game to begin with, doesn't matter what platform it's re-released on it's still going to be the same mediocre potato of a game it's always been.

I actually like this game a lot, but it definitely doesn't need this many versions

Serious question: where does it have traction? I want to play one some day. Are there any in the US that aren’t in casino towns?

How is that different from "SSV Perfect"? Isn't this the exact same ROM, only with a few tweaks PC-side?

From the link above, it looks like all fatalities have been restored to vanilla Special and are selectable with an on/off in the test menu in this version. Perfect modified many of the fatalities to make room for more ending scenes for characters. So, it's Perfect, but Perfecter?

Also, not sure what "we have tuned up the gameplay to make it even more comfortable to play" means? Google Translate probably butchered this sentence, but could be further balance tweaks. SNK Fandom seems to think they are the same game, even though they have the Ex-Arcadia flyer but state that the game was never released outside of the 2020 collection. Clearly there's an arcade version now. ^_^

has anyone ever played on a ExA-Arcadia? I've never seen them physically.
