-they need to patch this shit asap. Horizontal screen tearing and shimmer like a mofo. Super low-budget, really distracting.

-my bread and butters for Tizoc (CotW) whiff constantly. It’s like his grab range is nerfed out of the gate. Playing on PS4, with a good display (Sony Bravia). Loaded up MotW on PS4, all my bread and butter connect effortlessly.

-online and xplay work as advertised. No issues ranked or casual.

Tl;dr

Tons of potential, Spiderverse art style works for me, needs QOL patches/updates asap; if a long time fan that wants to like this is put off…casuals are gonna go right back to SF6.

Glad I used gift cards for the digi version. If I had bought this w/ monies physical at a brick and mortar store? It would’ve been returned.

Interesting - base model PS4? I ran into none of those visual issues on PC with the Beta - but I also can tweak the settings and have Vsync turned on via a system level process. I have the full version on Steam downloaded and ready, just can't dive in till later on today.

You're probably overthinking it. His videos are relatively breezy and he's very good at making them effortless. He has enough followers that it's easily worth keeping up. It's his persona. In my brother's and my interactions with him, he is a genuinely nice guy, so it's not just a persona.

Disappointed that Jae Hoon isn't in this, as he seemed to be a prominent new legacy character akin to Dong Hwan, Rock, and Hokotumaru.

Personally intrigued by Mr. Big being in this, as he must be in his 60s at this point and his relationship with Geese was considerably less cordial than someone like Billy. Speaking of, would love to see how those two interact. I wonder if Big's English VA will remember that the character is Australian (likely not, if AOF2 was anything to go by).

I only want Wolfgang Krauser to be a secret boss as far as storyline goes. He's the closest thing to SNK's version of Akuma in terms of character morality and motivation, and I hated how he was just a standard final boss with Nightmare Geese being the true final boss in the last 2 installments.

They show it in Terry's ending, to some degree.

Spoiler:

Terry's final boss is Fallen Rock. At the end of the fight, the cinema is Terry hitting Rock so hard he crashes through the railing and begins to fall just like Geese in RBFF. Terrh snatches him, Rock says to let him go because he doesn't want to drag him down with him, shakes himself loose and says very sadly '....goodbye....' Then Terry somehow manages to reach back down and grab Rock's wrist again. It shouldn't be possible but Billy has arrived to extend his staff, from which Terry is hanging in order to give himself the reach he needs to save Rock. After they are all back safely on the walkway again, Terry and Rock exchange pleasantries, Terry says something to the effect of 'don't ever give up' like a good dad would and they thank Billy. Billy says 'I didn't do it for you!' to Terry, in a clear statement that deep down, he appreciates Terry for being there for Rock for all those years that no one else could be. Fences are all mended.

It's nice denouement for the characters. Not sure if Rock and/or Billy's endings mirror that, though. As I understand it, every character has a unique sub boss and final boss, but I'm not sure if that's true.
