Agree or disagree? The dialogue here is basically Geese saying he doesn't want his son to go down the same difficult path that he did.

Nerd Version:
On the one hand, Geese has been portrayed as an evil bastard consumed by his own ambition for power.
On the other hand, it's the only reasonable explanation for why he doesn't keep Rock closer to him in any of the games. Well, that or he never fucking cared. It's one of those two.
Real Bout's 'canonical' ending humanized Geese, in a sense, by making his rivalry with Terry personal rather than Terry and Andy just being two more victims on his way to achieving dominance. Rather than allow himself to be saved by Terry, he chose to hurt Terry by refusing the aid and plummeting to his own death. So given that, it's possible that Geese has more feelings than simply the desire to attain power, and he's more complex than any of us ever really thought about.
EDIT: Since Geese had a relationship with someone, and that someone got pregnant, it's entirely possible that he chose to bury those parts of him because they would have gotten in the way of his ambition. Having a son around would have given him a new responsibility outside of the scope of his goals.

Martial arts anime stories are cheesy and weird. Don't think about it too much. It's not that deep and theorycrafting these games in 2026 is gay.

It feels a little out of character to me.
Seems more like Geese would want Rock out of the way but not necessarily dead.
He always treated Billy more like a son.
Might have been better is he just never knew he had a biological son at all.

So jumping off what @Taiso said, I think it's possible that we're getting some new insight into Geese here (isn't that kind of the point of some of the new character interactions in this game?), but some may not allow the new SNK team the artistic license.
Again, I kind of like the way they wrapped Terry and Rock's stories in the COTW arcade mode. It feels like more or less the direction things were headed all along in MOTW. I wouldn't be too mad if COTW is the last entry in the series, since it concluded the story well enough.

I like that they're giving his character a little more depth beyond "cartoonishly evil" crime boss.
He adopted and raised Billy Kane and his sister from the streets, so there's that too.

Jae Hoon is fine. Neither of the Kims were ever my favorites to play but he is a logical choice, I suppose. I might have staggered the character releases differently if it were my decision but it's fine. Probably looking forward to Mary the most out of the four announced, followed by Krauser and then Geese and finally the one that's playable right now lol

I would totally play a Spartacus gladiator brawler where you make a gladiator and level him up, changing gear and working on various builds.
They could even add a 'dominus mode' where you are just managing the gladiators rather than playing them.
