I'm having trouble finding where to plug this into VLC

What I had to do is completely close VLC and then click the link, hit Open with VLC and it should buffer for a minute and then open.

Took a few tries.

Nvm I figured it out. On my version of VLC it was 'Open Location' then delete the prefix already in the media locater bar and copy paste the link you posted.

Nice post, I'm glad I got to catch this.

It's not quite "live," as NASA channel has the same feed about 5 mins ahead of the web, but... Hey, good enough. I was wondering if it would be a different feed, but it's the same that is showing on DirecTV and other providers that have the NASA channel, I'm sure. Thanks for the link, all the same. I sent it to a few friends that are stuck in the office.

With the exception of placing satellites in orbit, what exactly has the space program ever done of any importance ?

Get us pics of shit 3 trillion miles away ? Landing on the moon was pointless.

Waste of tax dollars and NASA should be privatized.

I'm sure there's a fuckton more things to bitch about the govt wasting tax dollars on besides going to space. At least there are no limits to your bitching.

Shut up.

Endeavor's final launch is scheduled for April 19
Atlantis's final launch is scheduled for June 28

Barring any weather related or mechanical delays.

After that everything on the ISS will be handled by Soyuz space craft.

Americans get touchy about the space program.

I'm guessing landing on the moon was the last successful thing our country did worth being proud of though, so it's a soft spot.

I would much rather have a country dropping billions on "useless" projects like peaceful space missions than on [insert war / military reference here. Just pick one.]

America! Fuck Yeah!

(heavy sarcasm intended)

Abasuto is right, that piece of crap should have been replaced 10 years ago. Instead of enjoying old glory NASA should have looked forward and develop something new.
And landing on the moon was once an achievement but it is pretty pointless now.

I couldn't care less about which country accomplished it; it was a big step for the human race. I'd be just as happy if the Apollo program had been a project of Russia, China, Jamaica, or wherever. That has nothing to do with anything, as far as I'm concerned. It's not like I was on the rocket.
