hello again i have purchased a new power supply from bob roberts
thanks to recommendations of fellow board members ..
but i still have a lil problem ..
my cab is a conversion and the power supply seems to have different
markings .. the psu that was originally in the cab was a hitron hsa-130
and the one from bob roberts is just a 15 amp switching power supply ..

on the original one it looks like this

hitron bob roberts

+12 +5
- 5 Gnd
dc com Gnd
+5 -5
Gnd +12
ac(N) Fg
ac(L) Ac
Nc Ac

so does anyone have any thoughts to share ?

if your saying that the power supplies are in a different order , that shouldnt be any big deal , trace back to the original spot and make sure that the go to the new place on the different supply . (match accordingly)

?????????

Ok heres what i did for one of the last cabs i did went to a lowes type place and bought a new cord and assembled it (cost $5 or somthng and looks really nice)take green to the ground and black to the left and red to the right (or white) doesnt really matter as long as you remeber where you put the cords , then screw the white and the black ones into the ac part or what ever plugs into the ac part green (you plug ground) to fg , then twist all you jamma supplies into one and put a u clip crimp on the end (get these at radio shack ($2) ONE FOR EACH DIFFERENT POWER SUPPLY ONE FOR 5V ONE FOR ALL THE 12V ect and split the jamma grounds in half evenly !
what else ?

The power supplies voltage is probably too low or even to high.(Ram Error)

You really need to take voltage test with a meter to make sure your set at +5V.

Tested at the rail.....
Or as I understand that's testing it from the back of the harness as it's plugged into the board.(cab is on)

This should be the PS you just got yes..?

As you you asked me.
In all honesty I forget what "DC COM" meant..
I know it stands Direct Current Common but is that Ground or Positive.?

Well the dc com had four brown wires connected to it .. and that was jumped to a ground wire .. and they had 2 red wires connected to the pos 5 .. so i kinda jumped to the assumption that they were grounds .. =-x
