Sad news. Kraftwerk inspired a lot of the early 80s electro funk shit I grew up listening to like Planet Patrol and Afrika Bambaataa. RIP

That he was only 73 was amazing to me. Such a pioneer at a young age! He’ll be missed but glad his works will live on!

Terrible shame. He's one of those artists that only cool people really know about, yet he and the rest of the band changed the landscape of electronic music forever.

I busted out some Pocket Calculator and Ruckzuck in his honor yesterday.

Fun nerdy fact, Ruckzuck was the theme song to the PBS show Newton's apple. As a kid growing up, I always thought that song was really unique and interesting, and had no idea it came from "that German band with the bleeps and bloops".
