OK so I'm selling these computers. They have all been gone through and refurbished. Prices are negotiable and if you want more pictures, please let me know.


PC-9801BX2/U7 - $600 + ship.

  • Power supply has been recapped.
  • Battery changed to new rechargeable.
  • All of the caps on the motherboard are tantalum, so they are fine.
  • SSD has been added, installed one of the OS images off nfggames.
  • Maxed out ram at 8MB.
  • Added CD drive.
  • 3.25 x 2 drives, both work.
  • Added PC-9801-86 card, boxed complete.
  • 5.25 Floppy drive card w/ external 2x 5.25 Floppy drives.
  • Roland Midi card.
  • VGA adapter.
  • Keyboard, mouse.

    FM Towns II UG20 - $550 + ship


  • Everything has been recapped in it.
  • New cmos battery.
  • Max ram.
  • Upgraded CPU to a 486slc, (required desoldering old one and soldering this in as it's a QFP).
  • Midi card, boxed.
  • Both 3.25 drives work.
  • CD drive works fine, but needs a little help when closing it.
  • Keyboard, Mouse, controller.
  • Including a SCSI cable so you can connect it to a external SCSI2SD or something.
  • Works great.

Tempting.

Really more curious if the PC-98 can also play PC-88 stuff because I've always wanted to play the original versions of Ys. Can roms be loaded on these? Actual PC-98 software is WAY overpriced.
