Normally it is is 120 bucks for two years of discounts. It gets you 20% off on game purchases and other discounts. I would usdually get my new stuff from Amazon, but I just picked up Shadow of Mordor on PS4 for 47.99 (58.03 on Amazon) at the same time as I picked up the gamer club unlocked...so it seems like something that will pay for itself rather quickly if you buy new games.

Other perks:

Get 2x Reward Zone points
on new video game software, digital content and game accessories

Get 2 Reward Zone points
for every dollar when you trade-in games

Get points
on gaming consoles

Exclusive Gaming Offers (typically 10 certificates for preorders)

Get 20% off
of new video game software

10% Bonus Trade-In Credit
on your video game software trade-ins

10% off
pre-owned games

Buy Two, Get the Third Free
on pre-owned games via special welcome coupon

Save 50%
on a new strategy guide via special welcome coupon

You beat me to this post. I joined up today on Bayonetta 2 and Hyrule Warriors. This definitely pays for itself.

This is a great deal if you like mainstream stuff, especially. Gonna have to go check this out, thanks.

Yeah that is true...I just moved all my Vita preorders from Amazon over to Best Buy though and while it will take me a couple of extra days to get them shipped to me, I'm saving like 40-50 bucks.

I'll stick with Amazon Prime. The price might be steep but the free shipping on larger items pays for itself.

You get free shipping (over 35 bucks) from Best Buy too as part of their regular reward program ...just not release day shipping. Since we are talking games, that's most of the time. You can also select store pick-up too.

Mind you, I love Prime too...but this is just simple economics.
