Not a country fan personally, but being a rock n roller i like to think i know a good guitar player when i hear one and this fella could play a guitar with the best of them.
In my younger day's it was all about richie blackmore, jimmy page, tony iommi, fast eddie clarke et al, but now that i'm a lot older i can appreciate the guitar skills of guy's like glen, jerry reed, roy clarke and chet atkins.
Been a lot of really gifted guitar players in the country genre.
Rest in peace mr campbell.

Hadn't heard of him before today. Listened to wichita lineman a few times tonight, I like it.

I really don't know much about country music but RIP Glen.

Sad news. Glen Campbell was also an A-list session guitarist before his solo career. He played guitar on studio tracks for the Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, Monkees, and many others... part of the 'Wrecking Crew' studio musicians in LA.

Great guitarist. I think Eddie Vedder covered one of his songs. It should be on YouTube. They're are a lot of great country guitarists out there.
