I drove by the college kids waiting in line to get into the bars at 5:30 this morning. Oh to have parents $$ and nothing to do... I miss those days.

the parade this year was a bit odd. i like roddy doyle as much as the next guy but the short story theme he had going on this year was a bit weird.

but i did go with a friend of mine up to carrickmacross and saw their parade. literally anyone with a truck or tractor or who can play a trumpet is allowed in. so about 30 people from the town of about 300 walking down the street. it was deadly. then corned beef and cabbage for dinner. good day.
