Ugh. rebuying old 7800 carts I gave my nephew years ago because I thought I'd never touch them again is painful.

My bud dropped off his 5800 with a few games and a flash cart. Aside from the dumb controllers, pretty cool. A moddin' we will go.

5200. Fuck.
Get you some Kaboom. It actually works well with those controllers.

Trackball/paddle/spinner games are pretty much the only ones that work better on those floppy non-centering analog sticks than a standard digital stick.

I have Kaboom! I just don't have a functional 2600 at the moment, and this system will go back to my bud when I mod it.

5200... one day, my useless friend made of plastic, one day...

Ah well.

By the way, buy a pair of paddles and also get yerself a copy of Astroblast, it even has been re-released now (M-Network collection). Best paddle game ever, gets really intense and is friggin' addictive.

"Can you get to 20k"? :)

Given that the OG 7800 I bought is being a bitch, I goobed a 7800+ that I hooked to the living room TV for everyone's pleasure.
Been playing some a couple games of Berzerk after dinner since then, and it's still stupid fun.
I'll be adding some carts to the pile soon.

The 7800+ itself isn't a bad product/pack, but it seems annoyingly usual with these emulation systems to have something faulty. This one came with a dead HDMI cable. :(

The enemy firing rate in Tiger Heli can get really tricky, specially when bullets are coming from behind. It's doable when I'm in the groove so to speak but sometimes I can't make it past level 2, the game is 100% pattern-based so it's important to map out a way around the really tight spots, like when the little 10k bonus house/rooftop appears in level 1 and three tanks come in and fire at you with nasty timing and angles or the battlefield in level 3 with the gun turrets and tons of tanks.

The little heli updates are great, specially the left/right firing one which helps a lot in said level 3 part or the sea area in level 2. Completing a level with two little helis also gets you lotsa points.

Anyone found any more cool hidden stuff?

This makes me feel better. I am so inconsistent with this game. The firing rate of the tanks feels somewhat random sometimes. I know I have time to get under them but I get hit sometimes.

Still searching for more secrets. There's a few spots that I wanna bomb. I can't help but think those 3 jets on the runway in stage 2 hold something score related.

Are those reprints? I only know of their Super GB compatible carts. I didn't know of any GBC versions.
They're remastered versions of
Asteroids (Game Boy, 1992) [new version is fully colorized]
Centipede (Game Boy Color, 1998)
Super Breakout (Game Boy Color, 1999)

That thing is ridiculously overpriced.

Makes sense as I don't think they're expecting to sell nearly as many as the 2600+ & 7800+ - which aren't particularly cheap either.
Wondering how this will do; I'm digging the Atari-with-new-carts releases but this being a rom-only thing doesn't add to the excitement.

They need to just stop releasing ROM boxes altogether. They have shit out like 50 different models in the last few years and almost all of them are terrible.

Focus on releasing carts and doing stuff like Atari 50 on other platforms. Adding Intellivision games to Atari 50 would be an infinitely better use of the brand than this shit.

Agreed i would probably wait on the price to drop if i were to buy one.I see allot of intellevision fans in general for the response towards it are disappointed it doesn't have a cartridge slot at all like the 2600/7800 plus.
